｜鶴（つる）の湯（ゆ） ｜河原湯（かわらゆ）

抑（そも〳〵）この温泉（おんせん）は我朝（わがてう）医術（いじゆつ）の大祖（みをや）
大已貴神（おほなむちのかみ）蒼生救護（さうせいきうご）の為（ため）に授（さづ）
け給ふ所（ところ）にして各泉各種（かくせんかくしゆ）の
偉効（いかう）を奏（そう）ししたがつて温度（をんど）
もまた等（ひと）しからず其病症（そのべうせう）に
応（おう）じてその温泉（をんせん）あること実（じつ）に
天與（てんよ）の霊場（れいでう）殊（こと）に避暑両全（へきしよれうぜん）の
佳境（かきやう）なり且（か）つ風景（ふうけい）の絶美（せつび）なる
こと所謂（いわゆる）日光（につくわう）を見（み）ざれば結構（けつこう）を
いはざるの諺（ことわざ）に負（そむ）かざるべし
｜右（みぎ）十泉（とうせん）の温度（をんど）功能等（こうのうとう）は温泉記（をんせんき）
に詳（つまびら）かなり就（つき）て見（み）るべし

そもそもこの温泉は、我が国の医術の大祖である大己貴神が民の救護のために授け給うた所であって、各泉がそれぞれ異なった種類の優れた効能を発揮している。したがって温度もまた一様ではなく、その病気の症状に応じてその温泉があることは、実に天から与えられた霊場であり、特に避暑と療養を兼ね備えた素晴らしい場所である。また風景の美しさは、いわゆる「日光を見なければ結構と言うな」という諺に違わないものである。
右の十の温泉の温度や効能等については温泉記に詳しく記されているので、それを見るべきである。

Brief Record of Futarasan Hot Springs
Tsuru-no-yu (Crane Hot Spring) Kawara-yu (Riverbank Hot Spring)
Donsu-yu (Satin Hot Spring) Naka-yu (Middle Hot Spring)
Taki-yu (Waterfall Hot Spring) Uba-yu (Old Woman Hot Spring)
Gosho-yu (Palace Hot Spring) Sasa-yu (Bamboo Grass Hot Spring)
Jizai-yu (At-will Hot Spring) Ara-yu (Wild Hot Spring)
These hot springs were originally bestowed by Ōnamuchi-no-kami, the great ancestor of medical arts in our country, for the relief and protection of the people. Each spring demonstrates different types of remarkable therapeutic effects. Accordingly, their temperatures also vary, and the fact that there exists a hot spring suitable for each ailment makes this truly a sacred place bestowed by heaven, particularly an excellent location that combines both summer retreat and healing benefits. Moreover, the absolute beauty of the scenery lives up to the proverb that says "Do not speak of magnificence without having seen Nikkō."
