**其の一**
地震のゆえに
　果報（かほう）こそ 銭儲け
末は安政二年となるべし

**其の二**
さまざまの
　お客もあれど
そのなかに 地震と
　　　心中（しんじゅう）これは初めて

**其の三**
地震さん
　　上（うえ）から揺れればよいものを
下から揺れては
　　あとがたいへん

鹿島から事
　　触れ、あまた押し流しながら

## お触れ書き（町会所より）

御上（おかみ）より御救小屋をお立てくださり候。その場所は以下の通り。

- 幸橋御門外（さいわいばしごもんそと）
- 浅草広小路（あさくさひろこうじ）
- 深川海辺新田（ふかがわかいへんしんでん）
- 同じく八幡地内（はちまんちない）
- 上野御山下（うえのおやました）

宮様の御救小屋は同じく山下に設置。

## Kyōka (Comic/Satirical Poems on the Earthquake Theme)

**Poem 1**
Because of the earthquake—
what good fortune! A profit in coin.
The end shall be the second year of Ansei.

**Poem 2**
Many kinds of customers there are,
but among them,
a double suicide with an earthquake—
　　this is a first!

**Poem 3**
Dear Earthquake,
　　if only you shook from above, that would be fine,
but shaking from below—
　　the aftermath is terrible indeed.

**Poem 4**
Word spreading from Kashima,
　　sweeping away many as it goes—
with this earthquake, □ (character missing),
　　what a dreadful nuisance.

## Public Notice (from the Town Council Office)

By order of the authorities, emergency relief shelters (o-sukuigoya) have been established. The locations are as follows:

- Outside Saiwai-bashi Gate (Saiwai-bashi Gomon-soto)
- Asakusa Hirokōji
- Fukagawa Kaiben Shinden
- Fukagawa Hachiman grounds (same area)
- Below Ueno Hill (Ueno Oyamashita)

A relief shelter established by His Highness the Prince (Miya-sama) is located at the same Yamashita location.
