この地図は朝鮮国、琉球国、蝦夷国、無人島などの海と陸を天の分野に従って里数を配置し、距離を測って山岳、河川、城地、郷村、遺跡、名勝、港、宿駅に至るまで色分けによって目印を区別し、さらにそれらの国々の通俗的な文字、器具財貨、人物の風俗、鳥獣の形状に至るまですべて描き表している。まさに古今未発の珍しい物と言うべきである。時は天明丙午年立夏の日、版木が完成した。

This map depicts the seas and lands of Korea, Ryukyu Kingdom, Ezo (Hokkaido), the Uninhabited Islands, and others, arranged according to celestial divisions with distances measured in ri. It uses color coding to distinguish landmarks including mountains, rivers, castle towns, villages, historical sites, famous places, ports, and post stations. Furthermore, it comprehensively illustrates the common scripts, tools and goods, customs of people, and the forms of birds and animals of these various countries. This can truly be called a rare treasure unprecedented in ancient and modern times. Completed on Rikka Day of the Tenmei Hinoe-uma year when the printing blocks were finished.
