『聖代要石治』万歳楽の連ね
東西南北四夷八荒、天地乾坤のその間に、どの土地も揺れないところがあろうか。遠い国は便りに聞け、近くは行って目に涙。神無月を幸いに家蔵堂社を揺り壊し、大地が裂けてこの世から奈落へ沈む阿鼻叫喚。野宿する身の苦しみは病気のよう。大地が雨と降りかかる涙を硯の水代わりに、地震の歌をしかじかと。柿色の素袍や大太刀を借りの衣装とした成田屋もどきで罷り出でた某は、鹿島要之助石据という神童。南贍部台いっぱいに尾鰭をはびこらせるのらくら者の鯰坊主は、吉例の顔見世近き十月二日。もうこれつらは盤石と踏み固めたるある皇国、揺るがぬ御代の万歳楽。この後妨げ広くなら、筋骨抜きの蒲焼にして凡夫の口へ放り込むとあら納まって申す。

"Seitai Kanameishi-ji" - A String of Banzairaku
In all directions—east, west, north, south, the four barbarian lands and eight wildernesses, between heaven and earth—what land would not shake? Let distant countries hear by messenger, and those nearby go see with tears in their eyes. Taking advantage of the tenth month, houses, storehouses, halls, and shrines are shaken to pieces. The earth splits and [everything] sinks from this world into hell—screams of agony. The suffering of those sleeping outdoors is like illness. Using tears falling like rain from the earth as water for the inkstone, [I] write earthquake songs earnestly. Appearing in borrowed costume of persimmon-colored court dress and great sword, like an actor of the Narita troupe, I who come forth am the divine child called Kashima Kanamenosuke Ishizue. The lazy catfish monk who spreads his tail fins across the entire southern continent stage—the customary face-showing is near, on October 2nd. Now this face is firm as bedrock in this imperial land, the banzairaku of an unshakeable reign. If hereafter there are widespread disturbances, [the catfish] will be made into boneless grilled eel and stuffed into the mouths of common people—thus it is settled, I say.
