《割書：真間堂は弘法寺なり八幡社家知行分とあれは古は祠官ありし事しらる今は｜法漸寺と云寺にて別当職をつとむ社人あれと近来法漸寺の立るところ也胤継は》

○大僧正行基を菩薩といふはわたくし事也勅許にあらす続紀聖

《割書：真間堂は弘法寺のことである。八幡社家知行分とあるので、古くは神職がいたことが分かる。今は法漸寺という寺で別当職を務める社人がいるが、近年法漸寺の立てるところである。胤継は》
《割書：胤貞の子である》
○大僧正行基を菩薩というのは私的なことで、勅許によるものではない。続日本紀聖武巻《割書：天平勝宝元年二月丁酉、行基仏化のところ》に「豊桜彦天皇（聖武天皇）は甚だ敬重し、詔して大僧正の位を授け、併せて四百人を出家させた。和尚の霊異神験は類に触れて多く、時にまた号して行基菩薩と言った《割書：云々》」とある。しかし法徳があり、衆人が菩薩と称するのは勅許よりもなお尊いことである。釈書に「菩薩の号を賜う」とあるのは間違いである《割書：野々舎随筆》○《割書：これは国分寺の下に入れるべきところを、余紙があるのでここに載せる》

○Calling Great Priest Supervisor Gyōki a "bosatsu" (bodhisattva) was a private matter, not by imperial permission. In the Shoku Nihongi, Emperor Shōmu volume《Marginal note: Tenpyō-shōhō 1st year, 2nd month, hinoto-tori day, regarding Gyōki's Buddhist transformation》it states: "Emperor Toyosakura-hiko (Emperor Shōmu) greatly revered him, issued an edict granting him the rank of Great Priest Supervisor, and simultaneously allowed 400 people to become monks. The priest's miraculous spiritual powers were numerous in all categories, and at that time he was also called Gyōki Bosatsu《Marginal note: and so forth》." However, having Buddhist virtue and being called a bodhisattva by the people is even more precious than imperial permission. The statement in Buddhist writings that he was "granted the title of bodhisattva" is incorrect《Marginal note: Nonoya Essays》○《Marginal note: This should be included under Kokubun-ji temple, but since there is extra paper, I include it here》
