状を観察見分及びが学者の所説実際家の談話は勿論建築土木上の参証となるべき事など細大と無く網羅し精巧なる石版密画を加へ其真を睹るが如くになし他は本邦
古代より近世に至る迄の大地震より別して安政の災厄をも参考対照し当時の絵図摺物なんどの尤も珍奇なる物を充分に捜索し得て改版挿入し以て一部の正確なる
地震歴史を編製すべし江湖諸君幸に愛読を賜へ

風俗画報第35号に限り、この際さらに今月30日に増刊し、本号の全体を地震のみの記事をもって一部を編集するつもりです。その編集の体裁は今回の地震を主として震災の様々な惨状を観察見分し、学者の所説や実際家の談話はもちろん、建築土木上の参考となるべき事柄など細大となく網羅し、精巧な石版画を加えてその真実を見るようにし、その他は日本古代より近世に至るまでの大地震、特に安政の災害をも参考対照し、当時の絵図や刷り物などの最も珍しいものを十分に捜索して改版挿入し、もって一部の正確な地震歴史を編集するつもりです。読者諸君どうぞ愛読ください。

For Fūzoku Gahō (Customs Illustrated) Issue No. 35 only, we will publish a special edition on the 30th of this month, compiling an entire issue dedicated solely to earthquake-related articles. The editorial format will focus on this recent earthquake, comprehensively covering all aspects of the disaster's tragic conditions through observations and investigations, including scholars' theories and practitioners' testimonies, as well as matters that should serve as references for architecture and civil engineering, no matter how large or small. We will add elaborate lithographic illustrations to make it seem as if one is seeing the truth itself. Additionally, we will reference and compare major earthquakes from ancient Japan to modern times, particularly the Ansei disasters, thoroughly searching for and obtaining the most rare items such as contemporary maps and printed materials, which we will reprint and insert to compile an accurate earthquake history. We humbly ask readers to favor us with their readership.
