高砂（たかさご）は中国東南の海中にある島国である。昔、オランダ人が住んでいた時は台湾と呼ばれ、国姓爷が居住して以後は東寧と改名した。温暖な国である。地元民の風俗は甚だ卑しく、常に鹿を狩ることを生業としている。農民は砂糖黍や西瓜を栽培することを生業とする。米麦は一年に二度収穫する。北極から南へ22、23度の位置にある。
