火の元は 重だつ人が 見まわりて どうぞ火出しに ならぬ用心
（火元は、責任ある人が見まわりをして、どうか火事にならないように用心すること。）

火の元は 念を入れ見よ 客ありて 大火をたきし あとの用心
（火元は、よく気をつけて確かめよ。客があって大きな火を焚いたあとの用心。）

火の元は 夏は眠りて 蚊屋かやり 冬寒がりの こたつ用心
