一享保二酉五月廿六日町奉行海福猪兵衛郡奉行武曾権左衛門須崎三郎右衛門へ御書付を以左之通被仰渡
附火致候者之儀従江戸表段々御意有之ニ付漸召捕候様ニ相聞候火之元之儀ハ兼而被仰付儀ニ候ヘハ度々不及被仰出早速疑敷者
も召搦吟味可申事ニ候処何も不念之儀ニ被思召候此段急度可申聞由被仰出候不限此儀諸事御用後レ不申様ニ随分念を入可相勤旨
右ニ付三人遠慮伺之処不及其儀私用之儀慎候様被仰付候
一右三人御呵ニ付御奉行共御目付共へも諸事御用之儀後レ不申様ニ随分念を入可相勤由御意之旨申来候段修理方銘々へ被申渡候
一同七寅二月五日并河一九郎村上喜内西尾忠三郎昇安院様御葬送之場ニ而剪髪仕候儀最前御家老中左様之
儀無之様ニ被申聞得其意候上ニ右之趣不届之事ニ候殊ニ一九郎儀ハ御法事奉行被仰付置事ニ候得ハ猶以不調法
之儀共ニ候旨酒井丹下稲葉采女列座采女方呵被申候 但采女方宅
一元文三午七月四日芦田図書へ月番松平庄兵衛口上ニ而被申渡趣尤遠慮之伺茂有之候へ共不及其儀段申達之
今度於江戸表御自分拝領之道具曽我又左衛門殿御取持御内々ニ而入上覧申儀重キ品之事ニ候親下野毎度江戸表へ罷越候節毎々持参仕候由
左候ハヽ御代も同事ニ候ヘハ其節御尋ニも可有之処左様之品も無之此度其方へ立帰ニ罷越事ニ候処御尋之段御不審ニ思召候上ゟ御尋有之候へ共
立帰候事ニ持参不仕段申達候上使共ニ又左衛門殿在所へ申遣取寄候様ニと申聞候ハヽ早速此表へ相伺御指図を請可申処取扱参届不申候様ニ被思召候
但同月廿一日図書最前被仰渡趣ニ付其身家来共之儀も相慎被罷在儀達御聴不及其儀旨被申聞之

御叱責
一、享保二十一年辰年（元文元年）参州荒井宿の八兵衛が下馬御門を無断で通行したことにより、酒井六郎右衛門が御叱責を受けた。
一、元文二年巳年、寄合の秋田八郎兵衛が御叱責を受けた。
一、寛延四年未年（宝暦元年）十月二十八日、寄合の松原多膳が御叱責を受けた。
一、享保二年酉年五月二十六日、町奉行海福猪兵衛、郡奉行武曾権左衛門、須崎三郎右衛門へ御書付をもって次の通り申し渡された。
放火犯の件について江戸表から度々御指示があったが、ようやく捕縛できるようになったと聞いている。火災の予防については以前から申し付けている件であるから、度々申し出るまでもなく、早速疑わしい者を捕縛し取り調べるべきであった。ところが皆が不注意であったと思われる。この旨をきっと申し聞かせるよう仰せ出された。この件に限らず、すべての御用事を遅延させないよう、十分に注意して勤めるよう。
これに付き三人が遠慮を伺ったところ、その必要はなく、私用の件は慎むよう申し付けられた。
右三人への御叱責に付き、御奉行衆、御目付衆にも、すべての御用の件を遅延させないよう十分注意して勤めるよう御意向の旨が申し来た旨、修理方それぞれへ申し渡された。
一、同七年寅年二月五日、并河一九郎、村上喜内、西尾忠三郎が昇安院様の御葬送の場で剪髪したことは、以前に御家老中からそのようなことがないよう申し聞かされ承知していたにもかかわらず、この通り不届きなことである。特に一九郎は御法事奉行を申し付けられていたのであるから、なおさら不調法なことであるとして、酒井丹下、稲葉采女が列座し、采女方が叱責を申した。ただし采女方の屋敷にて。
一、元文三年午年七月四日、芦田図書へ月番松平庄兵衛が口頭で申し渡した内容は、もっともな遠慮の伺いもあったが、その必要はない旨申し達した。
今回江戸表において御自分拝領の道具を曽我又左衛門殿の取り持ちで内々に上覧に入れた件は重要な品物のことである。親の下野が度々江戸表へ出向く際毎回持参していたという。そうであるなら御代替わりも同じことであるから、その節御尋ねもあるはずなのに、そのような品物もなく、この度そなたへ帰参のため出向いたところ、御尋ねがあって御不審に思われ、さらに御尋ねがあったが、帰参のことで持参しなかった旨申し達したところ、上使衆も又左衛門殿の在所へ申し遣わし取り寄せるようにと申し聞かせれば、早速この表へ相談し御指図を請うべきところ、取り扱いが参り届かなかったように思われる。
ただし同月二十一日、図書は以前申し渡された件について、その身や家来共の件も慎んで在るよう、御聴に達したが、その必要はない旨を申し聞かされた。

1. In the 21st year of Kyōhō, year of the Dragon (1st year of Genbun), Hachibei of Arai-juku in Sanshu passed through the dismounting gate without permission, for which Sakai Rokurōemon received a reprimand.
1. In the 2nd year of Genbun, year of the Snake, Akita Hachirōbei of the yoriai (council) received a reprimand.
1. In the 4th year of Kan'en, year of the Sheep (1st year of Hōreki), on October 28th, Matsubara Tazen of the yoriai received a reprimand.
1. On May 26th of the 2nd year of Kyōhō, year of the Rooster, the following was conveyed through written orders to Town Magistrate Kaifuku Ihei, District Magistrate Takeso Gonzaemon, and Susaki Saburōemon:
Regarding arsonists, there have been repeated instructions from Edo, and it is heard that arrests can finally be made. Since fire prevention has been previously ordered, there is no need to repeatedly issue orders - suspicious persons should be immediately arrested and interrogated. However, everyone has been negligent. This matter must be firmly communicated. Not limited to this matter, all official duties should be performed with utmost care to avoid delays.
When the three requested to know about their restraint, they were told it was unnecessary and to refrain from private matters.
Regarding the reprimand of these three, it was conveyed to all magistrates and inspectors that they should perform all official duties with utmost care to avoid delays, and this was communicated to each member of the repair department.
1. On February 5th of the 7th year, year of the Tiger, Namikawa Ichikurō, Murakami Kinai, and Nishio Chūzaburō cut their hair at the funeral of Lord Shōan'in. This was inappropriate behavior, as the senior retainers had previously instructed against such actions and they had acknowledged this. Particularly Ichikurō, who had been appointed as funeral magistrate, was especially remiss. Sakai Tange and Inaba Uneme were present, and Uneme delivered the reprimand at Uneme's residence.
1. On July 4th of the 3rd year of Genbun, year of the Horse, monthly duty officer Matsudaira Shōbei verbally conveyed to Ashida Zusho that while his inquiry about restraint was reasonable, it was unnecessary.
Regarding the matter of privately presenting personally granted items to the lord's inspection through Soga Matazaemon's mediation in Edo - this concerned important items. His father Shimotsuke had brought them every time he went to Edo. If so, it should be the same for the heir, so there should have been inquiries at that time, but there were no such items. This time when you went for your return to service, when inquired about, the lord found it suspicious and made further inquiries. When you reported that you didn't bring them because it was for your return to service, the envoys said to send word to Matazaemon's domain to retrieve them.
