御苦労被 思召候得共右之御勝手向ニ候故
当暮ゟ面拝知御擬作之内別紙目録之通上

今度御借米地方取五歩通御代官附三歩五厘通
其外御扶持方御合力御切米取末々迄四年以前辰年

現代語訳
ご苦労をおかけすることと思し召されるが、右の御勝手向（財政事情）のため、
今年の暮れから面拝知・御擬作の内、別紙目録の通り上米を
申し付けられる。その意をよく理解し、いよいよもって倹約を実行し続けるよう
思し召される旨を仰せ出される。以上
八月十六日
ただし別紙目録は辰年の通りなのでここでは省略する。その他に添付される
書付の控え
今度の御借米について、地方取は五歩通り、御代官付きは三歩五厘通り、
その外御扶持方・御合力・御切米取の末々まで、四年前の辰年
の通りに仰せ出されるので、その意をお伝えください。なお詳細について
承りたい場合は奉行どもにお尋ねください。以上

英語訳
Although we are aware this will cause hardship, due to the aforementioned financial difficulties,
from this year's end, rice contributions (jōmai) will be imposed on those with face-to-face audiences and stipend recipients
according to the separate itemized list. It is decreed that you should understand this intent
and continue to practice even greater frugality.

Note: The separate itemized list follows the same format as in the Year of the Dragon (Tatsu), so it is omitted here. Additionally attached
is a record of the accompanying document.
Regarding this rice loan (go-kari-mai): local administrators at 5 bu rate, deputy magistrates at 3 bu 5 rin rate,
and all others including stipend recipients, aid recipients, and rice stipend holders down to the lowest ranks
shall follow the same system as four years ago in the Year of the Dragon.
