右の入湯主治（にゅうとうしゅじ）は、古きを尋ねて新しきを知り、さらに誤りを削り、潤色を加えてこれを誌（しる）す。

　　貞享五年戊辰（つちのえたつ）六月吉日

　　　　　　　　　　　　　豆州熱海において梓に上す

The foregoing account of the medicinal virtues of bathing in these hot springs has been compiled by examining the old records to illuminate the new, further correcting errors, and embellishing the text before setting it down in writing.
