現代語訳
浸食が過度でないものは腐った肉が脱落し、良い兆候を示す者がいる。しかしながら、同じ性質の流注状の潰瘍や骨疽などは良い症状を呈さず、膿液が依然として流出するものが多い。また環癬や疥癬、宿病潜伏などのようなものも、毒の勢いが発現した後、潰瘍や爛れに耐え難い者が多い。故に上沢渡村の温泉に入浴し、苦痛を脱して帰村する者が多い。癩病のようなものは死亡する者が多いとはいえ、その重篤な状態に至らず、三、四個の水疱を発する者は、水液が脱漏し、表皮が剥がれ落ちて良い肉を呈し、収束の様子を示す。その死亡する者は、一肢の一部が既に壊疽に陥ったもの、あるいは全身麻痺で筋肉が弛緩し浮腫に至ったものが、終に水腫に陥り死亡する者が多い。
