[This is the upper volume (jōkan) of a three-volume, forty-eight article edition bearing publication dates of Kan'ei 8 (1631), Kan'ei 11 (1634), and Kan'ei 13 (1636); however, the surviving portion of this text covers only up to the middle of the eighteenth of the nineteen articles comprising the upper volume.]
[This three-volume, forty-eight article edition contains a preface and postface written in classical Chinese (kanbun) by Genkō, dated Kan'ei 4 (1627), as well as a postface written in Japanese (wabun) bearing the cipher signature (kaō) of Yoshida Mitsuyoshi.]
