○越前平泉与陣私十四ノ時高名■仕■申候フントリ仕候セカレニテ
　ヨク仕候トテ頼申者私親方へ状ヲ越申候事
○同年ノ暮ニ同国金澤陣ニ罷立此時モ馬一疋敵ヨリカケ
　出申候私フントリニ仕候合戦無御座候頼申者褒美ラレ申候事

○越前平泉寺の陣で、私が十四歳の時に手柄を立て申し候。敵を討ち取り仕候したので、よく働いたとして、頼み申す者が私の親方へ褒状を送り申し候こと
○同年の暮れに同国金沢の陣に出陣致しました。この時も馬一匹を敵より駆け出し申し候のを私が討ち取りに仕候。合戦はございませんでしたが、頼み申す者より褒美をいただき申し候こと

○At the battle of Heisenji in Echizen, when I was fourteen years old, I achieved military distinction. I struck down an enemy, and because I fought well, my patron sent a letter of commendation to my master.
○At the end of the same year, I went to battle at Kanazawa in the same province. At this time too, when a horse came charging out from the enemy, I struck it down. Though there was no major battle, I received a reward from my patron.
○During the battle of Kuzuhara within Enuma District of Kaga Province, I was the first to engage with spears. As proof, my patron gave me a seal, a short sword, and clothing.
