○御奉行へ
川除普請銀が近年過分に費やされて高額になっている趣旨を聞いたので、この度格別の御趣法を立てて、右の費用を無利息の年賦払いとし、当未年から普請銀をその都度銀で渡すこととする。その旨心得て、従来の慣例に拘泥せず普請の仕方等を検討すること。
右の通り仰せ出されたので、なお取り計らいの件について川除奉行とよく相談し、考えがあれば申し出るよう申し渡すこと。
正月二十五日
○諸月番へ
去る十六日、御用番代りの大久保加賀守殿から御聞番への呼び出しがあり、御老中連名の御奉書が到来した。久能御宮その他並びに三州大樹寺・松応寺・鳳来寺・瀧山御宮・御霊屋等の御修復御用を仰せ出され、また今回は思召しをもって御分限高からは御手軽に御用を蒙るよう仰せられた。この旨申し渡すよう仰せ出された。
三月二十五日

今般御手伝御用を蒙るよう仰せつけられたところ、かねてより御勝手向が御不如意で御難渋の折柄、御上納金の御弁済方が甚だ御痛心されることである。各支配下は近来困窮の様子ではあるが、今度は御国役につき止むを得ず、書付の通り御用金を御頼みになる。何分出精して全て整えるよう厚く取り計らうこと。

○To the Magistrates
We have heard that river embankment construction silver has been excessively spent in recent years and has become costly. Therefore, this time a special financial method has been established, making these expenditures payable in interest-free annual installments, and from this Year of the Sheep, construction silver shall be paid out in silver as needed. Keep this in mind and examine construction methods without being bound by past practices.
As announced above, further consult thoroughly with the river embankment magistrates regarding implementation matters, and if there are any ideas, report them accordingly.
First month, 25th day
○To the Monthly Duty Officers
On the 16th, there was a summons from the magistrate's substitute, Lord Ōkubo Kaga-no-kami, to the information officers, and an official letter from the joint senior councilors arrived. Repair work for Kunō Shrine and others, as well as Daijuji Temple, Shōōji Temple, Hōraiji Temple, Takiyama Shrine, and mausoleums in Sanshū province has been ordered. Furthermore, this time, by special consideration, the service is to be performed with ease according to one's means. This matter is to be communicated.

Regarding the assistance duty that has been ordered this time, given that finances have been consistently difficult and strained, the payment of tribute money is causing great concern. Although each district has been impoverished recently, since this is national service, there is no alternative but to request the service money as written. Make every effort to arrange everything completely.
