一、月始めの御礼を例の通り諸士に対して行った。○御礼の前に御小書院において、甫之助方・満衛方に、御家老格御政務見習を仰せ付けられ、諸事これまで見習として勤めていた者たちと同様であると仰せ出され、この件を御書付をもって申し伝えた。御小書院二の間に御用人をはじめ御目付元方が出席し、今日出仕した御勝手御役人、御先格はいずれも麻上下を着用した。
一、右の仰せ付けられた趣旨を、御家中諸士へ一般的に御目付から回文をもって申し伝える慣例のところ、今日は幸い全員出仕しているため、回状は不要で口頭で伝達すればよいとの旨を、月番御目付中西来三に申し含め、御領中の村々・町方・地方・寺社方へは先例の通り申し触れるよう、それぞれに指示した。○御二方へ今日お祝いのために浜[□]鯛十枚・美酒一樽二升入りを贈った。

1. The monthly courtesy ceremony was conducted for all retainers as usual. ○ Before the ceremony at the Oshoin (Small Study), Hanosuke-kata and Mitsue-kata were appointed as Senior Retainer-level Political Affairs Trainees, and it was announced that they would handle all matters in the same way as those who had previously served as trainees. This matter was communicated through an official written notice. The chamberlains and chief inspectors attended in the second room of the Oshoin, and the financial officials who served today, following precedent, all wore formal hemp kamishimo.
1. Regarding the aforementioned appointments, while it is customary to communicate such matters to all domain retainers through circular letters from the inspectors, since fortunately everyone was in attendance today, it was deemed that circular letters were unnecessary and oral communication would suffice. This was conveyed to the monthly duty inspector Nakanishi Raizo, and instructions were given to notify villages, town magistrates, local officials, and temple and shrine officials throughout the domain according to established precedent. ○ As congratulations today, ten sea bream from Hama[□] and one barrel of fine sake (containing two sho) were presented to the two parties.
