成（なる） 動々（ぶり〳〵）者（もの）ニ付 燃上（もえあが）り之 火事（くわじ）等（ら）共（ども）燃人（やけにん）ニ相立 危難（きなん）加多（がた）え
御 麁相（そゝう）ニ震（ゆり）上候所 物騒（ぶつそう）也 難（なん）義之儀は當卯十月二日之 晩（ばん）
於眠氣（おねむけ）時ゟ翌（あくる）三日四ツ 這（ばい）迄ニ相定御 損（そん）金として損両（そんりやう）損分（そんぶ）

現代語訳

年魚（なまず）瓢箪人浮状の事

一、この震九郎と申す者、生国は常陸国要石郡地潜村出生にて、確かな動き者につき、燃え上がりの火事等とも焼け人に相立ち、危難方へ御粗相に震り上げ候所、物騒なり。難儀の儀は当卯十月二日の晩、お眠気の時より翌三日四つ這いまでに相定め、御損金として損両損分損朱、惜しくも焼け取られ申し候。御仕着の義は、夏は震電雷鳴白雨光物（ごろごろ雷の夕立仕舞い光り物）一つ、冬は焔散粉の布子一枚下され候事。

一、御関東様御八州の義は申すに及ばず、諸国一統のため相揺るがせ申すまじく候。万一この者、御台所勝手ヶ間敷く、お三とん方へ参り、大擂り木を震い立て擂り鉢を破し、這い這いの上、内々の地震致し候か、又は動き逃げ壁落し致し候はば、高梁を以て取り繕い、急度したる大工左官差し出し、早速埒明け申すべく候。

一、愁障の義は鐘の難題宗にて、寺は小動き川散々橋じゃんぐわら寺、暫時に崩れ家なく候。御八方を震支丹焼宗門には無之候。若しこの物音儀につき、日合いよりがらくら動振り等無之候。万一震返し津波等致し候はば、要石に判人の堅い我等、地震に早速曲り出で、ぎゅっと押し付け野田へ転び寝、御苦労小屋掛け差し掛け申すまじく候。地震の後、材木買って値段の高し。
