気ばかりながら、強い口上を申し上げ奉り候。

一、そもそもこの妙ゆり出し崩れの義は、先年信州にて揺り広め候ところ、大揺れ・大難渋仕り候につき、決して他国へせり揺り・押し揺り一切致さず候ところ、近年諸国に紛らわしき偽崩れ相見え申し候。別して京・大坂・東海道筋を押し揺りいたし、また々江戸表までも偽崩れ押し揺り仕り、その上、火事・木倒しを開け、ひどくぐらぐらの義につき、急度揺り止め申し付け、私方一方揺りに仕り候。もっとも最もうたんとは揺り申さず、当十月限りに揺り子へ申し渡し候につき、逃げ出し・野宿のお騒ぎなく、ご安心なされ、楽々とご夫婦仲よく夜中の揺り出しはご自信に、毎夜々々二三服ずつご用い成られ候はば、ご子孫繁昌致し、のらくらのご子供衆はおいでにならず候につき、しっかりとお抱きつき成され、「ああ、もういっそいい世の中」とご評判なされ、お求めくださるべく候。以上。

Though we speak only with spirit, we humbly present our bold sales pitch:

Regarding this Miraculous Shake-Out Crumble Medicine — in years past, when we first spread it throughout Shinshū Province, it caused a great shaking and tremendous hardship. We therefore resolved never to push-shake or press-shake it out to other provinces. However, in recent years, suspicious counterfeit crumbles have appeared throughout the country. In particular, counterfeit crumbles have been push-shaken along the Kyoto–Osaka and Tōkaidō routes, and even fake crumbles have been push-shaken all the way to Edo. On top of this, fires broke out and trees were toppled, causing dreadful rumbling and shaking. We have therefore issued a firm order to stop the shaking, and have confined the shaking to our own establishment. We have not shaken to the full extent — we have notified our shake-children that shaking will be limited through this coming October. So please do not trouble yourselves fleeing or sleeping outdoors — rest easy. Peacefully, as a couple on good terms, for the nightly shake-out, trust your own earthquake instincts: if you take two or three doses every single night, your descendants will flourish, and you will have no idle, good-for-nothing children. Hold on tight to each other, declare "Ah, what a wonderful world this is after all!" — and please do purchase some. That is all.

On the evening of every two days, produce one large shake with a rumbling motion; afterward, repeatedly produce gentle swaying shakes. Use without borrowing anyone else's hands — rely on your own earthquake. When decocting, fire safety must be the top priority.
