将軍様が御病気のため、御機嫌伺いとして甲府宰相（綱豊）様、館林宰相（綱吉）様並びに御三家の方々が登城されることになったので、登城されたところ、大下馬において諸大名の登城が差し止められたため、今大路道三老方へお立ち寄りになって様子を見られ、そのまま御帰殿された。
一、同月七日 登城（昨六日に御老中から連絡あり）されたところ、館林宰相様が将軍の養子になられた旨を御老中からお達しがあり、また従二位大納言に叙任され二の丸へお移りになる段が仰せ出された。それが済んでから二の丸へ登城し、御目見えを仰せ上げられた。
