A single chest (karabits/karabitsu) of sacred treasures from the inner shrine of Fune (布祢奥社) was opened and inspected today. The crown's decorative streamer (ei) was made with black cords in an eight-strand braid. The interior of the shallow court shoes (asagutsu) was lined with brocade. One cypress fan (hinōgi-ōgi) was found, along with a silver-gilt sake cup whose stand was of the "horse-head" (batōdai) type. The same stand type appeared again, along with a matching vessel. Another tea bowl was silver-plated.
From a second chest, the following items were recorded: one padded garment (wataire), and one lined garment (awase). The outer fabric was white twill silk (shiroaya) with a winding hollyhock (aoi) arabesque pattern; the lining was plain white silk. The sleeves were sewn on in a particular manner, and the sides were left open. One informal court robe (nōshi) was present. The divided skirt trousers (sashinnuki) were of thin dark fabric with a pattern of distant roundels featuring the hollyhock crest (in a water-gourd shape, mizu-mokko). Gold thread was not incorporated.
※ [Marginal note:] This is a tohari (a dividing curtain/hanging).
These items had been set aside because the fourth son of Yamanao wished to petition the Kamo Shrine in Mikawa Province with a礼銭 (ceremonial monetary gift/fee).
Two written lists of the previously mentioned shrine offerings (heimotsu) were retrieved; the shrine priest (kannagi) requested them, received them, and departed with them.
After the meeting concluded and everyone had withdrawn, during the evening meal, the daily records from the 27th of last month onward were read aloud for those present to hear. At that time, it was noted that regarding the cut fabric remnants from the sacred garment sewing sessions: the shrine priest was to receive half, while the remaining half was to be distributed among five ladies-in-waiting of the textile/robing department (gofuku jōrō). There was also a written note indicating that one of the shrine priest's wives (naigi) was to be included among the recipients. On this matter, the clan retainers (ujizamurai) raised the point that, regarding this sewing...
