平邪篇
闢天主教書ノ中ニ。西洋耶蘇教所立ノ説ヲ引テ云ク。祭＿二拝￣スレハ
天地日月菩薩神仏等物＿一￣ヲ。皆犯＿二天主大戒＿一￣ヲ。深得＿二罪于天主＿一￣二
云々。天地日月ハ三路ノ敬スル所￣ロ。然ルヲ彼レ其三路ノ䂓則ヲ
廃絶シ。《割書：明朝破邪集近クハ杞憂小言｜二此事ヲ論セリ就テ見ルヘシ》己カ邪説ヲ拡充セント欲スレト
モ。人ノ信スル者ナシ。於＿レ是天知二球ノ説ヲ捏造シ。現量実測

平邪篇
『闢天主教書』の中に、西洋耶蘇教の唱える説を引いて次のように言っている。「天地・日月・菩薩・神仏などを祭り拝むならば、すべて天主の大戒を犯すことになり、天主に対して深く罪を得ることになる」云々。天地・日月は（儒・仏・神）三道がともに敬う対象である。しかるに彼ら（耶蘇教徒）はその三道の規則を廃絶しようとし、（注：明朝の『破邪集』、また近くは『杞憂小言』の二書にもこの事が論じられているので、参照すべきである）自らの邪説を広めようとしたが、信じる者がいなかった。そこで「天知二球（地球説）」の説を捏造し、現量・実測に基づく（証拠）を立てて、（注：「現量・実測を立てる」とは、天地の間は広大なものであるから、人はその真偽を確かめにくいものである。そこで種々の奇妙で巧みな道具を示して人を惑わし、あるいは天体の精密な計算によって、学識ある士人を誑かすのである。このように目の前に事柄を見せる究理の説であるから、人はこれを信じないわけにはいかなくなるのである。）世人を誘い引き込むということは、前にすでに（述べた通りである）。

Chapter on Refuting Heterodoxy
In the work "Bì Tiānzhǔ Jiào Shū" (A Refutation of the Catholic Faith), citing the doctrines advanced by Western Christianity (Catholicism), it is stated: "To worship and make offerings to heaven, earth, the sun, the moon, bodhisattvas, gods, buddhas, and such things, is to violate the great commandments of the Lord of Heaven, thereby incurring deep sin before the Lord of Heaven," and so forth. Heaven, earth, the sun, and the moon are objects of reverence shared by all three traditions (Confucianism, Buddhism, and Shinto). Yet these Christians seek to abolish the rules and norms of those three traditions. (Note: The Ming dynasty work "Pòxié Jí" [Collection Refuting Heterodoxy] and, more recently, "Kiyu Shōgen" [Minor Words of Idle Anxiety] both discuss this matter, and should be consulted.) Although they desired to spread their heterodox doctrines, there were none who believed them. Therefore, they fabricated the theory of the "two spheres known to Heaven" [i.e., the heliocentric/spherical earth theory], and established what they presented as empirical, measured evidence. (Note: By "establishing empirical and measured evidence," they mean the following: since the space between heaven and earth is vast, it is difficult for people to verify such claims directly. Therefore, they display all manner of ingenious and curious instruments to dazzle and confuse people, or they use precise astronomical calculations to deceive learned scholars. Because this is presented as a rational theory demonstrated visibly before one's very eyes, people find it impossible not to believe it.) That they use this to lure and draw in the people of the world is something already discussed previously.
