現代語訳
法皇御所・女院御所への献上物は、武家御式台にて（両伝奏の雑掌を差し添えて）納め、御返答があり相済んだ。内侍所への献上物も納めた。
但し、右衛門（松原嘉陸）は二月朔日に京都を出立し、同五日に福井へ帰着した。
一 二月四日、御老中・井上河内守（正岑）殿より呼び出しがあり、御留守居・村上三大夫（正峯）が罷り出たところ、寛文五巳年（1665年）の東照宮五十回御忌の際の御香奠（こうでん）献上の件について、以下の書付をもってお尋ねがあった。

御太刀目録 松平越前守
右の節、服忌（ぶっき）のため日光へ使者を差し遣わさず、服明け後に東叡山本坊へ御太刀目録を奉納したとのことか。その節の儀について、書付を提出すべし。
右につき、御留守居より以下の通り書付を提出した。

The offerings to the Hōō (Retired Emperor) Palace and the Nyōin (Imperial Lady) Palace were presented at the武家御式台 (samurai reception area), accompanied by the assistants (雑掌) of both Imperial Transmitters (伝奏), received and accepted, and the matter was concluded. The offerings to the Naishi-dokoro (内侍所, Imperial Regalia Hall) were also duly presented.
Note: Uemon (Matsubara Yoshitaka) departed Kyoto on the first day of the second month and arrived in Fukuei on the fifth day of the same month.
One entry: On the fourth day of the second month, upon a summons from Senior Councilor (老中) Inoue Kōzuke-no-kami (Masamine), the resident deputy (留守居) Murakami Sandayū (Masamine) appeared. He was questioned via a written document regarding the matter of the offering of incense money (香奠) at the fiftieth memorial service of Tōshō-gū (the deified Tokugawa Ieyasu) in the fifth year of Kanbun (1665), the Year of the Snake, as follows:

Regarding the memorial Buddhist service for the fiftieth anniversary of Gongen-sama's death:
[Presented] a sword with an inventory list — Matsudaira Echizen-no-kami
At that time, due to mourning restrictions (服忌), a messenger was not sent to Nikkō. After the mourning period ended, was the sword and inventory list offered at the head temple of Tōeizan (東叡山, Kan'ei-ji in Ueno)? Please submit a written account of the circumstances at that time.
