(Continued from previous page) As a wedding gift (hikidemono), [a sword by Rai Kunimitsu, valued at 30 gold pieces, and a companion short sword (wakizashi) by [name unclear], valued at 700 kan] were presented, and the ceremony was thus completed. From Lord Dainagon-tayū, cups of sake were bestowed upon the following retainers: Chief Elder (karō) Inaba Uneme (Masamichi), Koma Moku (Takaaki), Household Officer (yōnin) Mizutani Oribe (Katsuhira), Announcer-to-Court (sōshaban) Akashi Shōgen (Nobufusa), Personal Attendant (soba-yaku) Watanabe Sachū (Suketada), and Guardian Attendant (omimori-dono tsuki) Tsuda Yataroku (Narimichi).
From Lord Munenori, a cup of sake was bestowed upon Lord Dainagon-tayū's chief elder Mōri Uemon, along with a gift of [a sword by Bizen-no-kami Mitsu, valued at 3 gold pieces and 5 ryō]. Next, a cup was bestowed upon the Elder (otoshiyori) Naitō Yozaemon, along with a gift of [a sword from Seki, valued at 3 gold pieces].
Item: On the 28th day of the 1st month, [Lord Munenori] proceeded to Edo Castle to formally express gratitude for the marriage of Lady Katsu-hime. He presented to the Shōgun five rolls of crepe silk (chirimen) and to the Lord Dainagon five silver pieces, and upon his departure, made courtesy rounds to the Senior Councillors (rōjū).
Item: On the same day, in the role of father-in-law (oshuuto-iri), he visited Lord Matsudaira Dainagon-tayū (Munehiro) at around the ninth-and-a-half hour (approximately 1 p.m.). After its conclusion, a banquet and sake ceremony took place in the outer audience hall (omote goshoin). On that occasion, the sword he had brought [Mitsumitsu, valued at 500 kan] was presented to Lord Dainagon-tayū through the advance guard attendants (osakte-shū) serving as intermediaries. Following this, Lord Munenori bestowed cups of sake upon Lord Dainagon-tayū's chief elders and others, and Lord Dainagon-tayū in turn bestowed cups upon Chief Elder Inaba Uneme (Masamichi) and Household Officer Mizutani Oribe (Katsumoto/Katsuki).
