候旨ニ付依願金六両三歩壱朱貸遣右為利米同人小目代

納尚又同年十二月同断ニ付金三両貸遣右為利米同人所持
岩ケ垣内作徳米之内三斗五升ツゝ毎年可相納旨等約定
ニ而右両通一札証人親類梅ノ源之丞調印罷在候処去ル
申年已来？追々未進仕元利合銀六百六拾匁計ニ相成候上
近年凶作打続難渋之趣相歎ニ付依願当亥四月証
文相改元金合九両三歩壱朱外ニ未進米代銀七拾壱匁
余之処へ別紙証文之通右小目代役田五反垣内年貢米

同人義種々不埒之義共有之趣相聞候ニ付乍恐親類加印
之者共ヘ御社中より厳敷被仰付右元金銀都合拾両三歩

御着袴の御祝の式が執り行われ、一同恐れながら悦びを申し上げ、お祝いの御酒を賜った。
十三日（乙亥）小雪。御殿の煤払いを例年通り行った。
十九日（辛巳）晴れ。梅ヶ辻町の甚右衛門へ貸し付けた金子三口の件について、本日社中へ願書を提出した。その写しは以下の通りである。
奉願候口状覚
一、梅ヶ辻町甚右衛門へ、去る天保二（卯）年十一月、年貢米の支払いが差し迫っているとのことで、願いに依り金六両三歩一朱を貸し遣わした。その利米として、同人の小目代役田五反垣内の年貢米一石八斗の内から、毎年七斗ずつ納めるべきこととした。さらに同年十二月、同様の事情により金三両を貸し遣わした。その利米として、同人所持の岩ヶ垣内の作徳米の内から毎年三斗五升ずつ納めるべき旨を約定した。これら両通の証文には、証人として親類の梅ノ源之丞が調印している。ところが、去る申年以来追々未進となり、元利合わせて銀六百六十匁ほどになった上、近年は凶作が続いて難渋しているとの訴えがあった。そこで願いに依り、当亥年四月に証文を改め、元金合計九両三歩一朱と未進米代銀七十一匁余について、別紙証文の通り右の小目代役田五反垣内の年貢米一石八斗の内から八斗を永く預かりとする約定に改め、親類の梅ノ文之丞が証印した。しかるに当年分は今もって一粒も納めていないため、追々加印した親類の者へも催促に及んだが、埒が明かない。
また、天保五（午）年三月、金一両を貸し遣わした。その利米として、毎年葵御祭の節に小目代へ渡される榊料米一斗ずつを永く納めるべき筈であり、証人の梅ノ源之丞が調印している。そして昨年まで右の榊料を受け取ってきた。しかるに同人はさまざまな不埒な行為があると聞き及んでいる。
つきましては、恐れながら、親類として加印した者どもへ御社中より厳しくお申し付けくださり、右の元金銀合計十両三歩一朱と七十一匁余をすべて返済させるか、あるいは約定通りに利米を納めるよう御申し付けいただきたく、この段をお願い申し上げます。以上。

The ceremony of the Ohakama (first hakama-wearing ceremony) for the young lord was held, and all present respectfully expressed their joy and were given celebratory sake.
13th day (Kinoto-I / Itchūsai): Light snow. The year-end cleaning (soot-sweeping) of the palace was carried out as in previous years.
19th day (Kanoto-Mi): Clear. Regarding the matter of three loans of money extended to Jinuemon of Umegatsujichō, a petition was submitted to the shrine community today. A copy is as follows:
**Petition Statement (Negaimōshisōrō Kōjō Oboegaki)**
Item: To Jinuemon of Umegatsujichō — in the 11th month of Tenpō 2 (Year of the Rabbit, 1831), as he was pressed for payment of annual rice tribute, we lent him, upon his request, six ryō, three bu, and one shu. As interest (in rice), it was agreed that he would pay seven tō annually from the annual tribute rice of one koku and eight tō from his five-tan Komeyoshiro role-field (komokashira yakuden) in Kakōchi. Furthermore, in the 12th month of the same year, under similar circumstances, we lent him three ryō. As interest, it was agreed that he would pay three tō and five shō annually from the crop yield of his Iwagakōchi field. Both agreements were signed and sealed by his relative Ume-no-Gennojō as guarantor. However, since the Year of the Monkey (申年), payments have fallen progressively into arrears, accumulating to approximately 660 monme in principal and interest combined. As he further pleaded hardship due to consecutive poor harvests in recent years, we agreed upon his request to revise the loan documents in the 4th month of this Year of the Boar (亥年). The revised principal of nine ryō, three bu, and one shu, plus outstanding rice arrears of over 71 monme, were renegotiated per the attached document, with eight tō to be permanently withheld from the annual tribute rice of one koku and eight tō from the five-tan Komeyoshiro role-field, and his relative Ume-no-Fuminojō signed as guarantor. Nevertheless, not even a single grain has been paid for this year's portion; repeated demands have been made to the co-signatory relatives, but the matter remains unresolved.
Additionally, in the 3rd month of Tenpō 5 (Year of the Horse, 1834), one ryō was lent. As interest, it was agreed that one tō of "sakaki-ryō" rice (榊料米, rice dedicated for sacred sakaki branches), delivered to the Komokashira at the time of the annual Aoi Festival, would be paid permanently each year, with Ume-no-Gennojō signing as guarantor. This sakaki-ryō rice was duly received up until last year. However, it has come to our attention that this individual has engaged in various improper conduct.
Therefore, we humbly request that the shrine community strictly order the co-signing relatives to either fully repay the total principal and accumulated debt of ten ryō, three bu, one shu, and over 71 monme, or to resume paying the interest rice as agreed. We respectfully submit this petition. Respectfully.
