Among the articles that were decided:
Even those who are retainers with days off duty shall be treated the same as those who regularly attend.
Due to various circumstances, a petition was submitted again this time, and since I too am in the position of regular service with days off, we have had successive private consultations among Koyasu, Benkei, Tsunesue, myself and others during this period. Today a draft of the written statement was completed. After each of the aforementioned persons makes their individual petitions, it is scheduled to be submitted to the council of senior and junior members soon.
12th day, hinoe-tora, clear weather: Chinshin's son was taking a bride, so I was invited today for celebratory sake, but I did not attend as I was away from home.
17th day, mizunoe-saru, rain: Regarding the matter of the second petition for days off, during this period Tsunesue and I, both being regular service members, took the draft petition around to each person for consultation. Since everyone had no objections, the fair copy was completed today and entrusted by Tsunesue to Yasunaka at the meeting place. The number of petitioners was, when the petition was first submitted last December: Suehashi, Furuaki, Hironao, Yasunori, Tsuneyuki, Yoshiaki, Koyasu, Noriaki, Benaki, Tsunenori, Tsuneyoshi, Tsunesue, Ujimaro, Yasumori - fifteen people in total. After that, Tsuneyuki died, and Noriaki and Yasumori retired from service, so these three were removed this time, and I alone was added, making eleven people in total.
Today at the women's quarters, the daughter of Takatsukasa Jun-kōgō Masahiro gave birth to a prince. This is His Majesty's first birth. Most joyous indeed. It was said to be the ninth month.
19th day, kinoe-inu, clear with occasional rain: We were invited by the san-tōnin Toyoaki for a soup gathering and attended, father and son.
Lord Hosokawa was passing through Fushimi, so today he stopped by the御家門政所's residence. It is said he entered from the inner quarters to the formal inner quarters. This was the second time. The first time was on the 7th day of the 5th month of Bunka 13 (1816). At that time, from the formal quarters...
