参上して御礼を申し上げ、御流の御盃を頂戴し、御長蚫を取次によって下された。これが済むと、与力や諸役人の御礼をお受けになり、大流の御盃を頂戴し、御長蚫を取次によって下された。鉄砲の間において、御医師・御絵師まで御礼を申し上げ、御盃を頂戴し、御長蚫を下された。韃靼の間において、奥御小姓・表御小姓が御礼を申し上げ、御流の御盃を頂戴し、御長蚫を取次によって下された。長囲炉裏の間へ、御馬方・御普請方・御小姓目付・御徒の者・御鷹方・御帳付・馬医・御塩梅人が一同並んで座り、御礼を申し上げた。
一、同日、年始の御祝儀として、御先代の通り、御使者寄合の酒井十之丞（元隣）を以て、御太刀・馬代（黄金十両）を献上された。

一、正月二日、御座の間において、本多浅次郎（長教）をはじめとする御家老の嫡子が太刀・目録を持参して年始の御礼を申し上げ、御盃を頂戴し、御長蚫を下された。御書院において、長袴以上の嫡子が太刀・目録を持参して御礼を申し上げ、御流の御盃を頂戴し、御長蚫を下された。その後、高知の弟をはじめとして番外・次男まで御礼を申し上げ、御流の御盃を頂戴し、御長蚫を下された。諸物頭から御番組の嫡子・庶子まで御礼を申し上げ、御流の御盃を頂戴し、御長蚫を取次によって下された。

They came forward to offer their respects, received the御流 (go-ryū) sake cups, and were given御長蚫 (go-chōsen, dried abalone) through intermediaries. After this was completed, the yoriki (assistant officials) and various officials had their respects received, were given large-style sake cups, and御長蚫 through intermediaries. In the Teppō-no-ma (gun room), from the court physicians to the court painters offered their respects, received sake cups, and were given御長蚫. In the Dattan-no-ma (Tartar room), the inner pages and outer pages offered their respects, received御流 sake cups, and were given御長蚫 through intermediaries. In the Long Hearth Room, the horse keepers, construction officials, page supervisors, foot soldiers, falconers, record keepers, horse doctors, and food tasters all sat together in rows and offered their respects.
1. On the same day, as New Year's congratulations, following the precedent of the previous generation, through the messenger and council member Sakai Jūnosuke (Genchika), a ceremonial sword and horse代 (yellow gold, ten ryō) were presented.
