【右丁】
青木遠江守（義継）殿へ差し出した。
一、十二月二十九日、鶴御拝領の御礼として、使者・杉田小平次（三竹）が御城へ罷り出たところ、御返書を渡された。小平次には御小袖三着を拝領するよう仰せ付けられた。
一、同日、（殿様の）御病気をお見舞いいただいたことへの御礼として、御使者・永見志摩（通洪）が御目見えし、かつ拝領物を仰せ付けられた。そのお礼の御使者として川合庄太夫が江戸表へ差し遣わされた。
但し、庄太夫の江戸到着の日は詳らかでないが、翌子年正月十一日に御返書が渡された。

寛文十二年壬子（1672年）
一、正月朔日（元日）、御本丸にて年始の御規式が行われた。
但し、御病気の後であるため御略式にて御礼を受けられた。
一、同日、年始の御祝儀として、御使者・本多又左衛門（武正）をもって、例の通り御太刀・馬代を献上された。
但し、又左衛門は旧臘（前年十二月）七日に御国表を出立した。
一、同月三日、御謡初めの御祝儀として、御使者をもって例の通り御盃台・御酒代を献上された。

[The certificate was] submitted to Lord Aoki Tōtōmi-no-kami (Yoshitsugu).
**Item:** On the twenty-ninth day of the twelfth month, the messenger Sugita Kohēji (Santake) proceeded to the castle to offer thanks for the honorable gift of cranes, whereupon he received a letter of reply. Kohēji was further granted three robes (kosode) by order [of the lord].
**Item:** On the same day, as an expression of gratitude for the inquiry made regarding [Lord Mitsumichi's] illness, the messenger Nagami Shima (Michihiro) was received in audience and was granted gifts. In return, Kawai Shōdayū was dispatched to Edo as a messenger of thanks.
> *Note: The exact date of Shōdayū's arrival in Edo is not known; however, on the eleventh day of the first month of the following year (year of the Rat), the letter of reply was delivered.*

**Item:** On the first day of the first month (New Year's Day), the New Year's ceremonial rites were held at the Main Keep (Hon-maru).
> *Note: As [the lord] was still recovering from illness, the ceremony was conducted in abbreviated form, and the New Year's greetings were received accordingly.*
**Item:** On the same day, as a New Year's congratulatory offering, the messenger Honda Matasaemon (Takemasa) was sent to present, as customary, a ceremonial sword and money in lieu of a horse.
> *Note: Matasaemon departed from the home domain on the seventh day of the previous twelfth month.*
**Item:** On the third day of the same month, as a congratulatory offering for the first utai (Noh chanting) of the New Year, a messenger was sent to present, as customary, a ceremonial sake stand and money for sake.
