土津様江戸表ニ被遊 御座候節之御奥江も
罷出 御渕廻りニ昼夜被 召仕候事

御供仕拾俵御加増被下置拾八石弐人扶持ニ被成下御

御意之上御羽織被下置其以後も度々被 召出品々

現代語訳
【右丁】
同人様（保科正之公）がご成長されたことにより、（直は）召し出され、（御擬作は不詳）御相手としてお仕えした。
元和3年（1617年）丑年12月、
土津様（保科正之公）がご長じられた時、
道義様（保科正光公）のご居城である信州伊南部高遠へ
お移りになる際、11歳にてお供をした。
但し書き：
土津様が江戸表においでになる時の御奥にも
罷り出て、御渕廻り（※）に昼夜を問わずお召し使われた。
一、年月不詳 成人したことにより、御弓之者に仰せ付けられた。
【左丁】
一、寛永13年（1636年）子年8月、羽州最上へお国替えの節、
お供をし、10俵の御加増をいただき、18石2人扶持となり、
御歩行（お徒士）に仰せ付けられ、「東のお取り立てをする」旨など
ありがたいお言葉の上、御羽織をいただき、その後も度々召し出され、
様々な拝領物などを仰せ付けられた。
一、同18年（1641年）巳年12月、10俵の御加増をいただいた。
一、同20年（1643年）未年8月、会津へのお国替えの節、お供をしたが、
病身となったため、願い出の上、御長囲炉裏御番を相勤めた。
一、慶安4年（1651年）卯年2月、大酒（過度の飲酒）によって
手に負えない者と思し召されたが、諸々お取り成し申し上げたことにより、
ただ今は御城中之足御番（城内の見廻り番）を…

When the same lord (Hoshina Masayuki) grew older, (Nao) was summoned and served as his companion (the nature of "gigi-saku" is unknown).

When Lord Hoshina (Masayuki) had grown,
He accompanied Lord Dogishi (Hoshina Masamitsu) to his castle at Takato in the Inabu district of Shinano Province (present-day Nagano Prefecture),
serving as an attendant at the age of 11.
Note:
When Lord Hoshina (Masayuki) was in Edo, (Nao) also attended in the inner quarters,
and was employed day and night in the lord's close attendance (御渕廻り).
One entry, year and month unknown: Upon reaching adulthood, he was appointed to the position of御弓之者 (archer/bow attendant).

One entry, 8th month of Kan'ei 13 (1636), year of the Rat: At the time of the domain transfer to Mogami in Dewa Province,
he accompanied the lord and received an increase of 10 bales (hyō), bringing his stipend to 18 koku and support for 2 persons.
He was appointed to the rank of御歩行 (foot soldier/retainer on foot), and was told that he would be promoted in the east,
receiving various gracious words of encouragement. He also received a formal haori coat from the lord, and thereafter was repeatedly summoned
and granted various gifts and appointments.
One entry, 12th month of the same year 18 (1641), year of the Snake: He received an increase of 10 bales (hyō).
One entry, 8th month of the same year 20 (1643), year of the Ram: At the time of the domain transfer to Aizu,
he accompanied the lord, but having fallen ill,
he petitioned and was assigned to serve as a hearth-side guard (御長囲炉裏御番).
One entry, 2nd month of Keian 4 (1651), year of the Rabbit: Due to excessive drinking, he was regarded as an unruly and unmanageable person,
but as various people interceded on his behalf,
he was (allowed to continue serving as) foot patrol guard within the castle (御城中之足御番)...
