Note: After this occasion, commendations were bestowed on every subsequent occasion.
- In the eleventh month of the same ninth year (Year of the Monkey), he was provisionally appointed to the position of *jushi* (recitation instructor).
- In the fifth month of the same tenth year (Year of the Rooster), he was formally appointed as *jushi*.
- In the eleventh month of the same year, as the organizational structure of the school was reformed, he was relieved of his duties as *jushi*. In recognition of his diligent service up to that point, he was awarded one bundle of cotton as a reward.
- In the twelfth month of the same eleventh year (Year of the Dog), at the training ground of the Sannomaru [third bailey] and at the combined-unit drills held at Hongōhara, his unit's formation and marching order were well coordinated.

His Lordship was pleased to recognize that advancing to the upper grade that year was a testament to his diligence, and the entire unit received commendation together.
- In the twelfth month of the same thirteenth year (Year of the Rat), having devoted himself to marching drills and attaining the upper grade for three consecutive years, the entire unit was awarded sake together.
- In the tenth month of the same fourteenth year (Year of the Ox), in recognition of his diligent and commendable performance in military exercises, he was awarded one new spear as a reward.
- In the fourth month of Bunsei 6 (Year of the Sheep), the hereditary stipend (*atoshiki gochigyo*) of seventy-five *koku* was granted to him without alteration.
