の前頃（まへごろ）まて、種蒔なし
て障（さわり）なし、麦も追（おい）々
黄色付、麦秋（ばくしう）といふ時
なれば、菜花も既に、
実を結び、皆 収納（しゆうのふ）に、鎌（かま）
研（とぐ）閑暇（ひま）も厭（いと）ふなり、製（せい）
茶の業（げう）は捗取（はかと）りて、
蚕（かひこ）は次第（しだい）に生育（はへそだ）ち、桑（くわ）
の條採（えだと）る時となる、燕子（ゑんし）
花、菖蒲（しやうぶ）、里（さと）は卯（う）の花、

夏の土用前頃まで種蒔きをしても差し支えない。麦も次第に黄色づき、麦秋という時期なので、菜の花も既に実を結び、皆収穫のために鎌を研ぐ暇も惜しむほどである。製茶の仕事は忙しく進められ、蚕は次第に成長し、桑の枝を採る時期となる。燕子花、菖蒲、里では卯の花が咲いている。

Seeds can be sown without any hindrance until around the time before the summer "doyō" period. The wheat is gradually turning yellow, marking the wheat harvest season, and rapeseed flowers have already formed seeds. Everyone is so busy with the harvest that they begrudge even the time needed to sharpen their sickles. Tea production is proceeding at a rapid pace, silkworms are growing steadily, and it is time to pick mulberry branches. Iris flowers, sweet flag, and deutzia flowers are blooming in the villages.
