不都合である。そこで金子でも下されるかという趣旨の噂があったが、金子もいかがかということで、米が良いのではないかという旨を取締方の淡路守清算が入来して内談があった。そこで嫡孫の備後介経中の給田頂戴まで一人扶持を下されるのが良いのではないかという旨を返答した。
二十五日戊寅小雨 地渡を申し付け、乙四郎方から伝両人を雇うことが例のように済んだ。
○郷約会三番講二会が珍顕方で有り、経紀が参集し、経千・保才・経寛等が分懸金を持参して成功した。保歳・希顕から譲り受けた後、初めて参会するので一種差し出し、いら一尾を青士に持たせて遣わした。懸り親規・演・顕・恭・保が兼ねて頼まれた。
○故経紹の跡賞を下されるかについて、社中から老若中が調べて書付を作成したのは以下の通り。

久々評定役を無事に相勤め、補職後は御神事向けに怠りなく参勤し、加えて御社用向け万事の取り計らい方も穏やかに行き届き精勤があった。殊に八十有余に達したところ、この度思いがけず病気が危篤になったので懇願の儀もあり、ひとえに格別に下された思し召しをもって上階の義を孫の備後介から内々歎願があったが、差し掛かった儀は新規のことなので一社一同で御相談も行き届き難い旨を御内談御治定により、遺賞として備後介の給田頂戴までの処、年々米五石宛を下される儀をいかが差し上げるかという事。評省略中にもあることなので、年々米二石ずつを下すことができるか、なお老若中へ相談して決めることができるだろう。
八月二十三日
右について昨日惣老若、なおまた今晩新宮以下三手惣老若が参会の上、御内意について二石ずつ下される旨で返答があり決定された事。

○ The third meeting of the second session of the village compact association was held at Chinken's place. ○ Regarding whether a posthumous reward should be granted for the late Tsunetsugu, the senior and junior members of the shrine community investigated and prepared the following written report:

He faithfully served as an evaluation officer for a long time, and after his appointment, he attended shrine rituals without negligence. Moreover, all shrine affairs were handled smoothly and diligently. Particularly having reached over eighty years of age, when he unexpectedly fell critically ill, there was a humble petition, and based on the special consideration granted, his grandson Bingo-no-suke made a private appeal for promotion. However, since this was an unprecedented matter, it was difficult for the entire shrine community to reach a consensus through consultation. According to the private consultation and decision, as a posthumous reward until Bingo-no-suke receives his stipulated fields, the matter of granting five koku of rice annually - how should this be handled? Since this matter is also under abbreviated evaluation, perhaps two koku of rice annually could be granted, but this should be decided after further consultation with the senior and junior members.

Regarding the above, yesterday all senior and junior members, and again this evening, all senior and junior members from Shingu and the other two groups gathered, and based on the inner intention, it was decided and replied that two koku each would be granted.
