　　　上者前々ゟ落井村用水分取候段無紛相見間向

現代語訳

上記については前々から落井村が用水を分取していた件について紛れがないことが確認されたので、今後は分水制とし、昼夜十二時のうち未の刻から戌の刻まで川島村の四町歩の田地へ引き取ることとし、その他の時間は落井村の田地へ引くこととする。もっとも従来通り川島村の四町歩へ取る堀の幅は二尺とし、落井村十六町歩の堀幅は四尺と定めた。もちろん川島村六町歩のうち二町歩の田地は従前の通り川島村の用水を引き取ること。また争いの場所の石堰について、落井村の者は前々から設置していたと申しているが、証拠が確実でないので、今後石堰を取り払い、水が滞りなく流れるようにすること。後の証拠のためにこのように書き記し、双方に下し置くので、違反してはならない。

Regarding the above matter, it has been confirmed without doubt that Ochii Village has been receiving water allocation from long ago. Therefore, going forward, a water distribution system shall be implemented: during the twelve hours of day and night, from the hour of the Sheep (hitsuji) to the hour of the Dog (inu), water shall be drawn to Kawashima Village's four chō of rice fields, and during other times, water shall be drawn to Ochii Village's fields. As has been customary, the width of the irrigation channel for Kawashima Village's four chō shall be two shaku, and the width of the irrigation channel for Ochii Village's sixteen chō shall be set at four shaku. Naturally, two chō of the rice fields within Kawashima Village's six chō shall continue to draw water for Kawashima Village as before. Regarding the stone weir at the disputed location, although Ochii Village claims it has been there from long ago, the evidence is not conclusive. Therefore, the stone weir shall be removed going forward, and water shall flow without obstruction. This is recorded as evidence for the future and given to both parties, who must not violate these terms.
