昌尚様年始御祝儀として初めて御登城をなされた件について、御礼として江戸表へ御書を差し出された。
一同月十一日、御老中秋元但馬守（喬朝）殿より御呼び出しがあり、御留守居が罷り出た処、
旧臘（昨年十二月）に徳山五兵衛（重年）殿を以て御願いをなされた
昌尚様の月次御登城の件について、御書取を以て御願いの通り仰せ出された。
一同日、年始三ヶ日の御規式が相済んだ件について御祝儀として、御使者立岩長左衛門幸政を
江戸表へ差し出され、御肴一種を献上された。長左衛門は今日福井を出立した。
一同月二十五日
昌尚様が月次として初めて御登城（去る十五日）をなされた件について、御礼として江戸表へ御書を
差し出された。
一同日、御鷹狩りのため吉江へ御出でになられた（二月七日御帰殿）。
一同月（日不詳）、旧臘に御留守居松平主計頭（近鎮）殿より御書付を以て
御関所通行手形の件について尋ねられたことに付き、御留守居より左の通り書付を
差し出した。
一、越前国より江戸へ入る女性並びに乱心囚人が罷り通る節は

On the same day, following the usual custom, fresh cod (second grade) from the domain's local products was presented via official document.
On the 10th day of the first month:
Regarding Lord Masanao's first formal castle attendance for New Year's greetings, an official document was sent to Edo as an expression of gratitude.
On the 11th day of the same month, there was a summons from Senior Councilor Akimoto Tajima-no-kami (Takatomo), and the caretaker official attended. Regarding the matter that was petitioned through Tokuyama Gohei (Shigenori) in the twelfth month of last year, Lord Masanao's monthly castle attendance was approved as requested through written petition.
On the same day, to celebrate the completion of the three-day New Year ceremonies, messenger Tateiwa Chōzaemon Yukimasa was sent to Edo, presenting one type of ceremonial fish. Chōzaemon departed from Fukui today.
On the 25th day of the same month:
Regarding Lord Masanao's first monthly castle attendance (on the 15th), an official document was sent to Edo as an expression of gratitude.
On the same day, [the lord] went out to Yoshie for falconry (returned to the castle on the 7th day of the second month).
On [an unspecified day] of the same month, regarding an inquiry made through written document by caretaker official Matsudaira Kazue-no-kami (Chikashizu) in the previous December about checkpoint passage permits, the caretaker official submitted the following written response:
