【右丁】
カクラ　蝦夷の海中にある。松前の方言である。おそらく州噀み（ウニ）の仲間であろう。白抜（しらぬか）の方言ではタツコという。

【左丁】
この書物について、私がかつて占恒室（せんこうしつ）に伺っていた頃、主人の依頼で表題の签（ラベル）に「千蟲譜」の三文字を書いた。今や錦窠先生のお手もとに帰したと聞き、ふと往時のことを思い起こすと、はるか遠い夢のようである。占恒室とは、久志本常珎（くしもと つねよし）のことで、通称は左京、号は緑漪（りょくい）といい、幕府の医官の中でも高禄の職にあった人物である。癸酉年十一月十六日　森立之（もり たつゆき）（記す）

この千蟲譜は、往年私が書写したものであり、今、錦窠・伊藤翁のために記す。

*Kakura* — Found in the seas of Ezo (Hokkaido). This is a term from the dialect of Matsumae. It is likely a variety of sea urchin (*sunomi*). In the dialect of Shiranutka (Shiraぬka), it is called *Tatsuko*.

Regarding this book: in the days when I used to visit the Senkōshitsu (the study of Kushimoto Tsuneyoshi), I wrote the title label "Senchūfu" (A Register of a Thousand Insects) in three characters at the request of the master. Now that I hear it has passed into the possession of Kinka-sensei, I suddenly recall those former times, which feel distant and dream-like. "Senkōshitsu" refers to Kushimoto Tsuneyoshi, whose common name was Sakyō and whose literary sobriquet was Ryokui; he held a highly stipended position among the physicians serving the Shogunate.

This *Senchūfu* is a copy I made in former years, and I now record this note for the Kinka/Itō elder.
