一、諸役人に給田がないと訴えているが、これもまた虚偽である。当社の役人は、贄殿膳部（にえどのぜんぶ）一人、絵所（えどころ）一人、楽人二人、刀祢（とね）四十二人（この他に非衆九十余人）、神人三十余人、小目代一人、檜物師（ひものし）一人、大工一人、土器師（かわらけし）三人、松行事二人、以上の者に給田および家領がある。御検地の際に申告し、高にして百四十余石を拝領し、現在は百余人で知行しており、それぞれ役儀を勤めている。それにもかかわらず、給田が全くないと申すのは、まったく以てとんでもない虚言である。この他に、小預一人、神夫一人、出納三人、図師五人、大宮小使一人、小山小使一人、中村小使一人、大原小使一人、湯屋火焚一人、このような役人には昔より慣例に従って下行（げぎょう）を支給している。また、この他に社家の家領内において神役を勤める上職の役人として、別当一人、預一人、歌役一人、忌子一人、田所五人、陰陽寮一人、御服上臈五人、貴布祢社八乙女八人、惣代の巫女一人がいる。以上のとおり、様々な役人がいるゆえに、年中の社役に懈怠なく、御神事を執行しているのである。

One matter: It has been claimed that the various shrine officials possess no stipend fields (kyūden), but this too is a falsehood. The officials of this shrine include: one Niedono Zenbu (official overseeing food offerings), one Edokoro (painting office official), two musicians (gakujin), forty-two Tone (shrine attendants) [with an additional ninety-odd non-regular members (hishū)], over thirty Jinin (shrine servants), one Ko-mokudai (assistant deputy), one Himono-shi (cypress woodworker), one carpenter (daiku), three pottery makers (kawarake-shi), and two Matsu-gyōji (pine ceremony officials). All of the above hold stipend fields and family landholdings. At the time of the land survey (kenchi), these were duly registered, amounting to over 140 koku in assessed yield, which is currently held and administered by over one hundred persons, each fulfilling their respective duties. To claim that there are no stipend fields whatsoever is an outrageous falsehood. Beyond these, there are also: one Ko-azukari (sub-custodian), one Shinpu (divine servant), three Suitō (accountants/treasurers), five Zushi (draftsmen/map-makers), one Ōmiya ko-zukai (attendant of the Main Shrine), one Koyama ko-zukai, one Nakamura ko-zukai, one Ōhara ko-zukai, and one Yuya hi-taki (bathhouse fire-tender). These officials have been provided with provisions (gegyō) in accordance with long-established custom. Furthermore, serving as high-ranking officials (jōshoku) who perform divine duties within the shrine families' landholdings, there are: one Bettō (superintendent), one Azukari (custodian), one Uta-yaku (poetry official), one Imiko (ritual abstinence child), five Tadokoro (land office officials), one Onmyōryō (divination official), five Ofuku Jōrō (senior ladies-in-waiting for sacred robes), eight Yagotome (shrine maidens) of the Kifune Shrine, and one Sōdai Miko (representative shrine maiden). With officials arranged in this manner across various ranks, the shrine duties throughout the year are carried out without negligence, and the divine ceremonies are duly performed.
