一 同月新御領所廻村為御用代田
組ゟ小川庄迄相廻候事
一 同年十二月南山御蔵入蠟漆木改
役川島与五衛門義御蔵入役所取計幷
余蠟買戻し計之義 公辺ㇸ訴訟
之企致候哉之聞在之候ニ付召《見せ消ち：□｜呼》候処
越後永原御代官所ㇸ罷越候由ニ付為迎
下役之者差遣候所跡ゟ直ニ役所ㇸ罷出
候間下役之者は是ゟ村方ㇸ相帰候様
申聞相帰し夫より当御城下謀【左にマヽ】名
を遣罷返江戸表へ罷登候ニ付翌正月
五日急ニ江戸表へ罷登《見せ消ち：□｜凡》而宜敷取計

役川島与五衛門が御蔵入役所の取り計らい並びに
余蝋買い戻し計算の義について公辺へ訴訟
を企てたとの噂があったため召喚したところ
越後永原御代官所へ行ったとのことなので迎えのため
下役の者を派遣したところ、後から直接役所へ出頭
したので下役の者はこちらから村方へ帰るよう
申し聞かせて帰らせ、それから当御城下で偽名
を使って帰り、江戸表へ上ったため翌正月
五日急いで江戸表へ上り適切に取り計らう
よう仰せ聞かされ、同七日 上り御勘
定奉行松平兵庫頭殿へ御城坊主を
もって御面会いただきたい旨を前もって申し入れ参上し御面会
の節、氏の面を持参して当 説明 五
衛門が種々不当な事をしているとの噂があったため召
喚したところ手元に連絡もなく越後永原御
代官所へ行ったとのことなので迎えのため同人の下役を

When summoned, it was reported that he had gone to the Echigo Nagahara deputy official's office, so subordinate officials were sent to escort him back. However, he appeared directly at the office afterward, so the subordinate officials were told to return to their village assignments.
After that, he used a false name in the castle town and returned, then went up to Edo. Therefore, on the 5th of the following New Year, [someone] was ordered to hurry up to Edo and handle the matter appropriately. On the 7th of the same month, [someone] went up and requested an audience with Lord Matsudaira Hyogo-no-kami, the Finance Commissioner, through a castle monk. When the meeting was arranged and held, bringing documentation about the person in question, it was explained that there were rumors of Yogoemon engaging in various improper activities. When he was summoned, he had gone to the Echigo Nagahara deputy official's office without proper notification, so subordinate officials of the same person were sent to escort him back.
