【ノビル（野蒜）】
『和漢三才図会』葷菜類に曰く：
蒚（音：歴） 別名：山蒜、沢蒜、䕾（音：吟）、荶
和名：祢比流（ねびる）
俗に云う：野蒜（のびる）
『本草綱目』に曰く：石の間に生えるものを石蒜と名づける。おもうに、山蒜・沢蒜・石蒜は同じ一つの植物であり、山・沢・石の間に生えて同じでない場所で区別されるだけである。また水中の蒜を荶と名づける。すなわち蒜は山にのみ生えるのではなく、水中にも生えるのである。
別に山慈姑・水仙花・老鴉蒜・石蒜の類があり、その根や茎はみな蒜に似ているが食用にはならず、花も異なる。
『大和本草』に曰く：
野蒜（のびる）
本草（李時珍）に曰く：山蒜・沢蒜・石蒜は同一の植物である。
今考えるに、みなノビルのことであろう。
石蒜については別に同名異物・異名同物のものがある。
『増補多識編』葷草類に曰く：
茖葱（かくそう） 和名：今考えるに「ノビル」、異名：山葱（さんそう）

【Nobiru (Wild Garlic / Allium macrostemon)】
From "Wakan Sansai Zue" (Illustrated Encyclopedia of Japan and China), section on pungent vegetables:
Nobiru (phonetic reading: Reki) Alternative names: Mountain garlic (Sansan), Marsh garlic (Takusan), 䕾 (phonetic reading: Gin), Kin
Japanese name: Nebiru (ねびる)
Common name: Nobiru (のびる)
From the "Bencao Gangmu" (Compendium of Materia Medica): Those that grow between rocks are called Sekisan (Stone Garlic). It is believed that mountain garlic, marsh garlic, and stone garlic are all the same plant, distinguished only by whether they grow in mountains, marshes, or rocky places. Furthermore, garlic growing in water is called Kin (荶). Thus garlic does not grow only in mountains but also in water.
Separately, there are related plants such as Yamajiso (Tulipa edulis), Suisen (Narcissus), Rōassan (Lycoris), and Stone Garlic — their roots and stems all resemble garlic but are not edible, and their flowers differ.
From "Yamato Honzō" (Japanese Materia Medica):
Nobiru (野蒜, wild garlic)
Li Shizhen's Bencao states: Mountain garlic, marsh garlic, and stone garlic are all the same plant.
Upon examination, all of these are likely what we call Nobiru.
As for stone garlic (Sekisan), there are separately plants sharing the same name but differing in identity.
