Although surrounded on all sides by raging flames, miraculously, the Kannon (the deity of Sensoji Temple) was left unharmed. Deeply revering this divine blessing, the temple has become even more bustling since the disaster, with hundreds of thousands of worshippers visiting every day, and their numbers continuing to grow with each passing day.
