氣不相残候共不申参様与不儀ニ付一統申談之不本意不申
遣也経威今晩酉刻送葬也仍而夕刻より改服罷越送

【割書：半切】御切紙を得て承知いたしました。さて、従父兄岡本下野守が今暁卒去いたしましたため、
定式の通り仮三日服、七日着仕します。この段御届申し上げます。よろしく
御沙汰をお願い申し上げます。以上

経威の姉の嫁である山崎社家中美濃守の養母であるが、過日経威の病気が
回復しない旨を申し遣わしたところ、当時美濃守が所労中で社法により社役代
勤中のため、当月九日まで御遠方へ参ることが叶わない間、もし病気が
治らないことがあっても参上しない様子で不義理のため、一同申し談じて不本意であると申し
遣わした。経威は今晩酉刻に送葬である。よって夕刻より改服して参上し送

The name on the outer wrapper was the same. I replied that I would express my gratitude when I return to duty.
Tsunetake's sister's daughter-in-law is the adoptive mother of Mino-no-kami of the Yamazaki shrine family. The other day I sent word about Tsunetake's illness
not improving, but at that time Mino-no-kami was ill and serving as a substitute in shrine duties according to shrine law,
so until the 9th of this month he could not travel to distant places. Even if the illness
did not improve, his not coming to visit was considered improper, so after consulting with everyone, I sent word expressing our displeasure.
Tsunetake's funeral will be held tonight at the hour of tori (6 PM). Therefore, from evening I will change into mourning dress and attend the funeral
