一 十一月廿五日寒中ニ付御書を以例之通御国産生鱈被献之
一 同月廿七日右同断ニ番生鱈被献之
一 十二月朔日朝於瑞源寺 高照院様廿七回御忌御法事御執

一 同月三日右同断ニ付於華蔵寺去朔日暁ゟ今朝迄御法事
御執行於谷中南泉寺も右同様御執行有之
一 同月十四日為御歳暮御祝儀御使者を以例之通御小袖被献之
御台様 桂昌院様江白銀被指上之
一 同月十八日足羽郡莇生田村百姓喜右衛門与申者常々農業精
を出し候得共貧窮相暮シ時ニ寄妻子等乞食為致候躰ニ候
得共三十ケ年之間持高之上納年切ニ無滞致皆済候処近年
老衰耕作難行届由ニ而持高二拾三石之内拾石同村百姓ニ為取
代物も不受其所存ハ御納所大切ニ存ニ付遣候上ハ価可取趣意
無之由申惣而見持正敷者之由御代官ゟ相達候ニ付違
御聴候処奇特ニ被 思召為御褒美当作本納米分不残被下
置向後喜左衛門存生之内者年々之趣ニ応し御手当可取

河崎三郎助（宗鋪）が出仕したところ、来年4月中に参府（江戸参勤）すべき旨の老中連名の奉書を受け取った。
一、11月25日 寒中につき書状を以て例年通り国産の生鱈を献上した。
一、同月27日 右同様に番（つがい）の生鱈を献上した。
一、12月1日朝 瑞源寺において高照院様27回忌の法事を執行した。
一、同月3日 右同様につき華蔵寺において去る1日暁から今朝まで法事を執行し、谷中南泉寺においても右同様に執行した。
一、同月14日 歳暮の祝儀として使者を以て例年通り小袖を献上した。
御台様・桂昌院様へは白銀を差し上げた。
一、同月18日 足羽郡莇生田村の百姓喜右衛門という者が、常々農業に精を出しているが貧窮の暮らしをしており、時により妻子等が乞食をするような有様であるが、30年の間、持高の年貢を一度も滞ることなく皆済してきた。ところが近年老衰により耕作が行き届かなくなったため、持高23石のうち10石を同村の百姓に代金も受け取らずに取らせた。その心は、御納所（年貢）を大切に思うので、渡す以上は代価を取るつもりはないと申している。総じて見識のある正しい者であると代官から報告があったので、これを聞かれて奇特にお思いになり、褒美として当作の本納米分を残らず下賜され、今後喜右衛門の存命中は年々の事情に応じて手当を与える

November 27th: Similarly, paired fresh cod was presented.
December 1st morning: The 27th memorial service for Lord Kōshōin was held at Zuigenji Temple.
December 3rd: For the same purpose, memorial services were held at Kezōji Temple from the dawn of the 1st until this morning, and similar services were also held at Nansenji Temple in Yanaka.
December 14th: For year-end greetings, small-sleeved kimono were presented as usual through an envoy.
White silver was presented to Her Highness and Lady Keishōin.
December 18th: A peasant named Kiemon from Azōda village in Asuwa district, who has always worked diligently at farming but lives in poverty—sometimes his wife and children are reduced to begging—has nevertheless paid his land tax (nengu) on his assessed holdings without fail for thirty years. However, in recent years, due to old age and infirmity, he has been unable to manage his cultivation properly, so he gave 10 koku out of his 23 koku holding to fellow villagers without accepting any payment. His reasoning was that since he considers the tax payments sacred, once he gives away the land, he has no intention of taking compensation. The local magistrate reported that he is generally a person of proper character and integrity. When this was brought to His Lordship's attention, he found it admirable and as a reward granted Kiemon the entire amount of this year's regular rice tax payment, and decreed that for the remainder of Kiemon's lifetime, he should receive assistance according to his annual circumstances.
