◯御家督之為御祝儀近々御家中へ御料理被下置筈に候前々及其席
彼是申分有之様相聞候今度は 探源寺様御代先規之以格式取扱
被仰付候間若申分有之者共へは御料理不被下筈之由支配方之面々へ可申
達旨御家老中以書付儀左衛門へ申聞夫々申達之本文命令之部に出之

但去十三日白山之湯治に罷越候御扶持人之類呼返し可申哉と相伺候処其儀には及間敷様に被存旨玄蕃方被申聞候

間御家老中を始三箇日之内に御勤には及間敷連々勝手次第御勤可有之旨
に御座候此段寄々御通達可有之候以上

◯御家督のお祝儀として、近々御家中へお料理を下し置かれる予定であるが、以前からその席において何かと異議を申し立てる者がいると聞いている。今度は探源寺様の御代の先例の格式に従って取り扱われるよう仰せ付けられたので、もし異議を申す者には料理を下されないとのことを、支配方の面々へ申し達すべき旨、御家老中より書付をもって儀左衛門へ申し聞かせ、それぞれに申し達した。本文は命令之部に掲載した。
五月十五日
◯このたび上げ米の一部が御免となったことに伴い、本知三百七十五石取以下および役料馬御免の者も、当月より以前のとおり残らず馬を所持するようにと仰せ出されたので、その旨ご承知おきください。以上
八月一日 各位中 目付中
追って、本知・役料ともに馬を繋ぐ際は、私ども月番まで申し達されるようにしてください。
◯手紙をもって申し達します。故・土佐筆（の絵師）による保元・平治の巻物が所持されていないかどうか、公儀よりお尋ねのことです。もし右のような絵巻物を所持されている場合は、早々に私ども同役月番まで申し達されますようお願い申し上げます。以上

右について御家老中より申し聞かせにより、御家中その他へも申し達した。支配のある面々は右の趣を申し通すよう追書にまとめて遣わした。
一 享保十六亥年（1731年）
◯公儀の御代官衆が近々白山の論所（係争地）を御見分のためにその地へおいでになる。そのため御逗留の間、白山の湯治に赴くことは末々に至るまで、この節は遠慮すべきである。また御城下にご宿泊の予定であるので、その節は無礼な振る舞いのないよう、末々に至るまでこれも申し付けるべき旨、ご承知おきください。以上

但し、去る十三日に白山の湯治に赴いた御扶持人の類は呼び戻すべきかと伺ったところ、その必要はないと玄蕃方より申し聞かされた。
口上之覚
◯年始の御上（将軍）へのご挨拶は別として、御家中の諸礼については、この節は雪が深く道も開けそうにないため、御家老中をはじめ三が日の内に勤めるには及ばず、順々に都合に応じて勤めるようにとのことでございます。この段、寄々にてご通達くださいますようお願い申し上げます。以上

右の口上覚書の末尾に、御番頭中へは御相番中へも御通達されるべき旨を書き加えた。

◯ As a celebration of the succession to the domain headship, meals (御料理) are to be provided to the domain retainers in the near future. It has been heard that on previous occasions there were various complaints and objections at such gatherings. This time, it has been ordered that the proceedings be conducted according to the precedents established during the era of Lord Tangenji. Therefore, those who raise objections will not receive the meal. The senior elders (御家老中) communicated this in writing to Gizaemon, and it was duly circulated to the relevant parties. The main text has been recorded in the "Orders Section."
15th day of the 5th month
◯ Following the partial remission of the rice levy (上げ米), retainers receiving a base stipend of 375 koku or below, including those whose horse allowances had been suspended, are hereby ordered to resume full horse ownership from this month onwards, as was previously the custom. Please be duly informed of this. Respectfully.

Postscript: Those with base stipends and service allowances who are keeping horses should please report to us, the monthly duty officers.
◯ I write to inform you that the shogunal government (公儀) has inquired as to whether anyone may be in possession of illustrated handscrolls (巻物) depicting the Hogen and Heiji [conflicts], painted by the late Tosa school artist. If you possess such illustrated scrolls, please report immediately to us, the monthly duty officers among our colleagues. Respectfully.

In accordance with instructions from the senior elders (御家老中), this was communicated to the domain retainers and others. A postscript was prepared and dispatched to supervisory personnel to pass on the relevant information accordingly.
**Kyoho 16, Year of the Boar (1731)**
◯ Shogunal magistrates (公儀御代官) are shortly to visit the White Mountain (白山) area to inspect the disputed territory (論所) there. During their stay, retainers and their households down to the lowest rank should refrain from going to White Mountain for hot spring cures (湯治). Furthermore, as the officials are expected to lodge within the castle town, all persons down to the lowest rank are to be instructed to refrain from any disrespectful behavior during that period. Please be duly informed of this. Respectfully.

Note: When it was inquired whether those stipend-retainers (御扶持人) who had already gone to White Mountain for hot spring cures on the 13th should be recalled, it was communicated by the Genba office that this would not be necessary.
**Memorandum of Oral Communication**
◯ Regarding New Year's greetings to the lord above (御上), formal domain ceremonies are a separate matter, but as the snow is deep and the roads are unlikely to be passable during this season, it will not be necessary for the senior elders and other retainers to perform their greetings within the first three days of the New Year. They may do so at their own convenience in due course. Please communicate this to the relevant parties. Respectfully.

At the end of the above oral memorandum, a note was added that the senior guards (御番頭中) should also communicate this to their fellow duty officers (御相番中).
