明和五年戊子（1768年）
一、正月朔日（元旦）、年始の御祝儀として御登城され、例年の通り御太刀・馬代を御献上になり、呉服を御拝領された。また、御使者をもって白銀・干鯛を献上された。
一、同日、右と同じ理由により、御文をもって例年の通り御鏡餅を献上された。
一、同日、右と同じ理由により、老女中より奉文をもって例年の通り御鏡餅・干鯛・御樽を御拝領された。そのお礼として、御用番・松平右近将監（武元）殿および西丸御老中・板倉佐渡守（勝清）殿へ御挨拶に参上された。
一、同日、御内証より女使をもって例年の通り、国産の鳥の子紙・小紙・干鯛を献上された。

Meiwa 5, the Year of Tsuchinoe-Ne (1768)
Item: On the first day of the First Month (New Year's Day), [Lord Shigetomi] attended the castle to offer New Year's congratulations. In accordance with custom, he presented a ceremonial sword and a horse stipend, and received crepe silk (gofuku) in return. Additionally, through a messenger, he presented silver and dried sea bream (hoshi-tai).
Item: On the same day, for the same reason, he presented ceremonial New Year's rice cakes (kagami-mochi) in accordance with custom, conveyed via a formal letter.
Item: On the same day, for the same reason, he received ceremonial rice cakes, dried sea bream, and a cask of sake in accordance with custom, conveyed through a letter from the senior lady-in-waiting (rōjochū). As a gesture of thanks for these gifts, [Lord Shigetomi] paid courtesy calls on the Goyōban (duty senior councilor), Lord Matsudaira Ukon-no-shōgen (Takemoto), and the Nishimaru Senior Councilor (rōjū), Lord Itakura Sado-no-kami (Katsukiyo).
Item: On the same day, a female messenger was sent from the private inner quarters (go-naishō) to present, in accordance with custom, locally produced tori-no-ko paper, small paper, and dried sea bream.
