「地震御守」
鹿島（かしま）太神宮（たいしんぐう）の御託宣（ごたくせん）に曰（いハく）
我此土（われこのど）のあらん限（かぎり）山川草木（さんせんさうもく）
のひとくさ蒼海（あをうなバら）のミぎハの
いさどのかづ〱震（ふるひ）ふるふ
といへども少（すこ）しもその形（かたち）を
害（そこな）ふことあたわずと白（まう）す
此御たくせんをとなへえて朝暮
ねんじたまへバあくじさい
なんけんなん火なん地しんの
のなんをよけること疑（うた）かふべか
らず又左にしるすと処の御札ハ
東西南北の柱にはりおけバ
家崩れ壁破るゝことなしとかや

現代語訳
## 「地震御守」
鹿島大神宮の御託宣に曰く、
「私（神）がこの土地にある限り、山川草木のひとつひとつ、広大な海の渚の砂の数ほど震え揺れることがあっても、少しもその形（すがた）を損なうことはできない」とおっしゃっている。
この御託宣を唱え、朝夕念じなさるならば、悪事の災難・剣難・火難・地震の難を避けることは疑いない。
また、左に記してある御札は、東西南北の柱に貼っておけば、家が崩れたり壁が破れたりすることはないと言われている。

## "Earthquake Amulet"
The divine oracle of Kashima Grand Shrine states:
"As long as I (the deity) exist upon this land, even though everything — every blade of grass on the mountains and rivers, and grains of sand as countless as those on the shores of the vast ocean — may tremble and shake, I shall not allow even the slightest harm to come to their form."
If you recite and pray upon this divine oracle morning and evening, there is no doubt that you will be protected from the calamities of evil deeds, sword wounds, fire, and earthquakes.
Furthermore, it is said that if the sacred talismans described on the left are affixed to the pillars of the four cardinal directions (east, west, south, and north), the house will not collapse nor its walls crumble.
