中ゟ横山市太夫を以被 仰下候處存奇

家老中より横山市太夫を通じて仰せ下されたところ、不思議に思うことがあったので、お受けを申し上げなかった件
一 同二年（寛文二年）寅年（月は不詳）横山市太夫を通じて再び召し出される旨であったので、お受け申し上げたところ、御知行三百石を下し置かれて召し出された件
一 同年三月 御目見を仰せ付けられた件
一 同年四月 肩衣を着用すべき旨を仰せ付けられた
ただし、御出の節は御出先へ参上して御機嫌を伺うよう仰せ聞かされ、毎度御出先へ詰めて御目見仕った件

The senior retainers conveyed the lord's message through Yokoyama Ichidayu, but there was something puzzling about it, so he did not accept the appointment.
1. In the same 2nd year (Kanbun 2), year of the Tiger (month unknown), he was again summoned through Yokoyama Ichidayu, and when he accepted, he was granted a fief of 300 koku and summoned to service.
1. In March of the same year, he was granted an audience with the lord.
1. In April of the same year, he was ordered to wear the kataginu (formal court dress).
However, when the lord went out, he was instructed to go to the lord's destination and inquire after his health, and he regularly attended at the lord's destinations for audiences.
1. In September of the same year, with the lord's intention to employ him as a personal attendant (go-kinshū), he was appointed to various messenger duties and stationed at the mansion in Shibata-chō 1st district.
