候便所跪踞事具経千焼香次取黒幣奉幣再拝両段左右
左祝詞如常但祝詞文兼而認之懐中讀之了而幣ヲ墓地之正
中ニ令建之次写神主是亦兼而認之懐中此時出之写了持帰
神主如左 故周防守正四位下賀茂県縣主芬経 神主
此外棺名薄等書記之文已下委敷凶事之記ニ有之仍而此畧也
右事畢而一揖退帰于時戌刻也帰家之時如先規構穢仍而路
次より入親族已下入来之方々上下共更ニ一献出之諸事無滞相済

候便所に跪踞の事、具に経千が焼香し、次に黒幣を取り奉幣再拝両段左右。左の祝詞は常の如し。ただし祝詞の文は兼ねて認め懐中に入れ、これを読み了えて、幣を墓地の正中に建てさせた。次に神主を写す。これもまた兼ねて認め懐中に入れ、この時出してこれを写し了えて持ち帰った。

二十一日己未晴 早朝、母・経千墓参。着用は麻上下・編笠。母は菅笠なり。○伊豆大炊、元の如く弔慰のため入来。○松ヶ崎河村九右衛門へ昨日の日付にて手紙遣わす。家父卒去の旨を知らせ候。
二十二日庚申晴 早朝墓参は昨日の如し。未刻に夕立・雷鳴あり。○嵯峨三雲中書より弔慰の使い来る。○一乗寺村重金方より同断。
二十三日辛酉曇 早朝墓参は昨日の如し。午後雨降る。○松ヶ崎九右衛門弔慰のため来る。○大森三郎右衛門弔慰のため入来。
二十四日壬戌曇時々雨降 早朝墓参は昨日の如し。○御家門大夫入江阿波守より縁中見舞いとして短冊和歌一首・粽等到来す。

At the designated spot, [Tsunechika] knelt and performed the ritual in full, offering incense, then taking black ritual streamers and making offerings with double prostrations on both left and right sides. After completing these matters, he made a bow and withdrew. This was at the Hour of the Dog. When returning home, as per precedent, ritual defilement was observed, so he entered via the side path. For relatives and others who had come, both high and low ranking, another round of sake was served, all matters were completed without incident, greetings were exchanged with each, and all dispersed. ○ This morning, condolence letters arrived from the lord's household senior retainers down to the page attendants. This is customary.
20th Day, Tsuchinoe-Uma, Clear Weather - Ash sending ceremony. Before the Hour of the Snake, visited the grave. Dress was plain clothes, umbrella, etc., same as yesterday. Sedge hat and staff. Mother, Shinshi, Yasuko, Lady Ochie, etc. accompanied. Summoning Chiyo, Satsuma, etc., Kameshiro wore a plain jacket with sword and carried a naginata, proceeding ahead. The route was the same as last night: this district, Ichi-no-machi, Naka-oji, to the embankment. After completing the grave visit, the return route went back via Minami-zushi-cho. At the same time, Tsunetada and Tsunetake made their pilgrimage. ○ People from the estates, both high and low, came one after another for condolences. ○ Maekawa Hachirozaemon, steward of the Imperial Pharmacy, came for the same purpose. ○ A messenger came from Seo Jibei, sending 300 pieces of gold as incense offering.
