元日丙申小雪降寒氣厳初春佳節四海静謐之珍重々々
○若御所御参賀如例年且今夜節會外辨御参也○経千重服中
ニ付今日御家門へ不出仕也○節分也服中ニ付不追儺各取歳斗也
二日丁酉晴今朝出仕 両御所え年頭御祝詞申上尤長上下着用也午後退出
御家中年始令回礼也
四日己亥晴下宿掛京都令回礼○経紀経寛経啓等廰飯揚物如例也
五日庚子小雹降御家門御領村庄屋手寄如例斗御禮被参上ニ付出仕

正月小の月
元日丙申 小雪が降り寒気が厳しい。初春の佳節、四海静謐であることは珍重である。
○若御所への御参賀は例年の通り、且つ今夜の節会には外弁として御参加である。○経千は重服中につき、今日は御家門へ出仕せず。○節分であるが服中につき追儺は行わず、各々取歳のみである。
二日丁酉 晴 今朝出仕。両御所へ年頭の御祝詞を申し上げる。もっとも長上下を着用。午後退出。御家中への年始回礼を行う。
四日己亥 晴 下宿掛けで京都への回礼を行う。○経紀・経寛・経啓等への饗応として飯・揚物を例年通り提供。
五日庚子 小雹が降る。御家門の御領村の庄屋・手寄が例年通りのみの御礼に参上されたため出仕。退出掛けで京都への回礼を終了。
七日壬寅 小雪 精進頭人中の満行参会につき小児等が招かれ参加。これに依り兼日より二頭人保文へ玉子二十五個、三弐人保治へ玉子二十四個、頭人必顕へ御酒二升・玉子十五個等を送る。

New Year's Day, Hinoe-Saru: Light snow fell and the cold was severe. On this auspicious occasion of early spring, the tranquility of the four seas is truly precious.
○Ceremonial New Year's visit to the Young Palace as usual, and tonight participating in the seasonal banquet as an outer attendant. ○Kyōsen is in heavy mourning, so did not serve at the family gate today. ○It is Setsubun, but due to being in mourning, the demon-expelling ceremony was not performed - only the age-taking ceremony.
2nd Day, Hinoto-Tori, Clear: Reported for duty this morning. Offered New Year congratulations to both palaces, wearing formal long kamishimo. Withdrew in the afternoon. Made New Year courtesy calls to family retainers.
4th Day, Tsuchinoto-I, Clear: Made courtesy calls in Kyoto via lodging arrangements. ○Provided the customary rice and fried foods for Kyōki, Kyōkan, Kyōkei and others.
5th Day, Kanoe-Ne, Small hail fell: Village headmen and assistants from the family domain's villages came to pay their respects as usual, so reported for duty. Completed courtesy calls in Kyoto on the way back from withdrawal.
7th Day, Mizunoe-Tora, Light snow: Children were invited to participate in the completion ceremony of the purification leaders. In preparation for this, sent 25 eggs to second leader Hobun, 24 eggs to third person Hoji, and 2 shō of sake and 15 eggs to leader Hisaaki.
