現代語訳
八日辛未 曇り後晴れ 両御所（天皇・上皇）が三千院御方、久我中将殿等と嵯峨嵐山へ御成りになられ、予も御供を仰せ付けられて参った。正卯の刻（午前6時頃）に御出門、酉半刻過ぎ（午後6時半頃）に還御された。御供一同は羽織袴着用であった。
十一日甲戌 晴れ 走馬の足見（下見）。例年の通りである。
十九日壬午 曇り 亡父の忌日につき、母と経千が墓参をした。
廿一日乙酉 快晴 葵祭である。近衛使は中園中将殿、乗馬には紫末濃厚総を用いられた。御神事その他すべて例年の通りである。

十二日乙巳 晴れ 昨日同様、京都の五軒ほどに志の品を持参させ、また遠方の分として江戸・西丸・大津・山崎・江州・柚木・一乗寺村・山本・松ヶ崎等へは過日より連々と遣わした。品物はそれぞれ違いがあり、別記に詳しく記したので、ここでは略する。
十五日戊申 晴れ 同じく一周忌の品を嵯峨三雲へ遣わした。特に御里坊まで届けた。
十九日壬子 晴れ 亡父県主の今日一周祥忌日につき、昨夕御家門に退下を相頼み、巳半刻頃（午前9時半頃）母同道で墓所に参った。特に麻の上下を着用。午の時（正午）神主への侍御膳拝礼も同じ装いである。亡父一周忌につき、今回御殿において志として昆布を出した。
廿日癸丑 晴れ、申の刻（午後3時頃）雨 当月晦日の服解（喪明け）につき、今日煤払いをした。
廿五日戊午 晴れ 清源院殿二十五回御忌に相当するため、昨夕東福寺において御法事御修行を仰せ付けられ、これにより今日自分で参詣した。

8th day, Kanoe-Hitsuji (Metal Sheep): Cloudy then clear. Both Imperial Courts (Emperor and Retired Emperor) went on an excursion to Saga Arashiyama with the Sanzen-in party, Kuga Chūjō, and others. I was ordered to accompany them. We departed at the hour of the Rabbit (around 6 AM) and returned after half past the hour of the Rooster (around 6:30 PM). All attendants wore haori and hakama.
11th day, Kinoe-Inu (Wood Dog): Clear. Inspection of horses for the horse races, as usual each year.
19th day, Mizunoe-Uma (Water Horse): Cloudy. On the anniversary of my late father's death, my mother and Keisen visited his grave.
21st day, Kinoto-Tori (Wood Rooster): Clear and pleasant. Aoi Festival (Hollyhock Festival). The Konoe messenger was Nakazono Chūjō, who rode a horse with purple ceremonial trappings. The Shinto ceremonies and all other matters proceeded as in previous years.
Fifth Month (small month - 29 days)
1st day, Kinoe-Uma (Wood Horse): Clear. Preparation of horses for the races, as usual.
5th day, Tsuchinoe-Inu (Earth Dog): Cloudy. Horse racing event, as in previous years.
11th day, Kinoe-Tatsu (Wood Dragon): Clear. For the first anniversary memorial of my late father the county governor on the 19th, I distributed memorial gifts to about 35 households of various ranks in the local area. I particularly ordered about 400 pieces of grilled tofu.
12th day, Kinoto-Mi (Wood Snake): Clear. Similar to yesterday, I had memorial gifts delivered to about five households in Kyoto. For distant places including Edo, Nishinomaru, Ōtsu, Yamazaki, Gōshū, Yunoki, Ichijōji village, Yamamoto, Matsugasaki, etc., I have been sending items continuously since some days ago. The items vary for each place, and since I have recorded the details separately, I omit them here.
15th day, Tsuchinoe-Saru (Earth Monkey): Clear. Similarly sent first anniversary items to Saga Mitsukumo, specifically delivered to the family temple.
19th day, Mizunoe-Ne (Water Rat): Clear. Today being the first anniversary of my late father the county governor's death, I requested permission to withdraw from court duties yesterday evening. Around half past the hour of the Snake (9:30 AM), I visited the grave site accompanied by my mother, wearing hemp mourning dress. At noon, the ceremonial meal offering to the Shinto priest was also conducted in the same attire. For my father's first anniversary, I offered kelp as a memorial gift at the palace.
20th day, Mizunoto-Ushi (Water Ox): Clear, rain from the hour of the Monkey (3 PM). Since the mourning period ends on the last day of this month, I conducted soot cleaning today.
25th day, Tsuchinoe-Uma (Earth Horse): Clear. Corresponding to the 25th anniversary memorial of Lord Seigen-in, memorial services were ordered to be held at Tōfuku-ji yesterday evening, so I personally visited today.
28th day, Kanoto-Tori (Metal Rooster): Rain. Regarding the Tōfuku-ji matter, the retirement of the head priest Kenda-in was ordered, and others...
