ハ貸附有之候時節に候得は御下弟一之社家困窮ニ付無拠被
申領候銀子之義壱割半ハ余り高利ニ付巳来八朱位ニ而拝借
相成候得ハ御憐愍御仁政ニも相當り候故老若中より右様被申立
候様被致度旨也評ニ御尤之義ニ候得共今日一評ニ而被決候義も
如何候間尚後會之節評決之上被申立可然由也右了而各退

御頼之通被 聞召候旨一昨廿一日被 仰出候由ニ付今日出仕之上麻上下

御別火御表え御成無之勿論表向御用之節ハ被称御所労御不参
之思召也依之今朝常服之侭 両御所御機嫌相窺内々御弔

現代語訳
とのことを立会いから箱談に及んだとのこと。評議で御承知になった旨の御返答があった。次に直一の演説によると、小山年番中へ困窮の輩が先納銀を願い出る際、これまで利銀一割半であったが、当時御講銀等を他郷へ八朱或いは七朱位で貸し付けている時節であるから、御下弟一同の社家困窮につき止むを得ず申し受ける銀子の件について、一割半は余りに高利につき、今後八朱位で拝借できれば御憐愍の御仁政にも相当するので、老若中よりそのように申し立てていただきたいとのこと。評議では御尤もの義であるが、今日一度の評議で決定する義もいかがなものか、なお後の会の節に評決の上で申し立てるのがよいとのこと。これで各々退散した。
二十三日乙酉 晴れ 大御所が先達て勅問の御人数御辞退を仰せ上げられたところ、今度御頼みの通り聞し召される旨を一昨二十一日に仰せ出されたことにつき、今日出仕の上、麻上下を着用して恐悦を申し上げた。
二十六日戊子 晴れ このところ連日午後夕立と雷鳴がある。若御所の御内々の御実母絹山が奥向で今晩寅刻頃（午前4時頃）頓死した。これにより掛かりの水口将曹一人を仰せ付けられ、今夕酉刻過ぎ（午後6時過ぎ）御寺門妙傳寺へ御下げとなった。もっとも若御所との御由緒は極めて内々の義につき、総じて御届け向きはなく、御心喪の姿で奥向にて御慎み、今夕より御別火で御表へのお成りはなし。勿論表向きの御用の節は御所労御不参と称される思召である。これにより今朝は常服のまま両御所の御機嫌を窺い、内々に御弔慰を申し上げた。これにつき宅では構わず別火に及ばず。

26th day, Tsuchinoe-Ne (Earth Rat): Clear. Recently there have been evening thunderstorms and thunder daily in the afternoon. The private birth mother of the Young Lord, Kinuyama, died suddenly tonight around the Tiger hour (4 AM) in the women's quarters. Consequently, one attendant, Mizuguchi Shōsō, was appointed, and this evening after the Rooster hour (past 6 PM) she was taken down to the temple gate of Myōden-ji. Since the connection with the Young Lord is extremely private, there are generally no official notifications, and he observes private mourning in the women's quarters with separate fires from this evening, not appearing in the public areas.
