被差出由ニ而老若中より三手へ被付之趣蔵奉行可被仰より披露也
評ニ東手格々参會之義ニ付當他日三手参會被相催披露可然之

七日乙丑、晴れ。貴船社の日参巡番に付き満行報賽のため参合参社した。
○留守中、堀川近江守弘業より書状が到来した。趣旨は、昨夜子息弘文が家出したため、直接相談したい件があるので急いで来てほしいとのことであった。申の刻頃より同人のもとへ向かった。
八日丙寅、晴れ。神楽講五会目の催しに付き、昼食後評議所へ出て、諸事例の如く取り調べ、終了後各々退散した。
九日丁卯、晴れ。御家門の御家来中野典膳が昨夜死去した旨、今日同養子の蔵人より届け出があった。
十一日己巳、晴れ。西中手勘定の参会である。私が勘定を申し上げることになったため少々早めに参上し披露した。勘定等は例の如く、経千・必顕が兼ね頼まれて取り算した。終了後、今度重武より田充前十人の内に入ることになったが、当時甘露寺家が武家伝奏の御役中のため当参が難しく、依って給田頂戴の義を辞退したい旨の御状書を差し出したとのことで、老若中より三手へ付けられた趣旨を蔵奉行より披露された。評議により、東手の格々参会の義に付き、当他日三手参会を催すよう披露すべしとの旨で決まり、口状書を置くべしということになった。但し右は元来先ず三手へ出すべき処、老若中へ差し出し、老若中より三手へ付けた段、前後が相違している。また去月十八日寄合始めの節に沙汰があった三杯・富士山の絵・兼菊の絵等二組を、今度豊顕取次にて新調し出来上がったので今日より用いることになった。依って豊顕への挨拶として御酒三升を送ることに決まった。
十三日辛未、晴れ。申の刻頃小雨が降った。神楽講五会目を例の如く三本掛の奥田屋において行った。私は巳の刻前より行き向かい、酉の半刻に帰宅した。なお家父は叔父翁の代わりとして出席した。○御家門より関東への年頭御使として諸大夫入口阿波守が参向し、今暁発駕した。依って昨十二日、従参として御酒二升を送った。

○During my absence, a letter arrived from Horikawa Ōmi-no-kami Hiroyoshi. The gist was that his son Hirofumi had run away from home last night, and he wished to consult directly about this matter, requesting me to come urgently. I went to his residence around the hour of the monkey.
8th day, bing-yin, clear. For the fifth meeting of the Kagura lecture, went to the council hall after lunch, conducted various matters as usual, and after completion everyone dispersed.
9th day, ding-mao, clear. Notice was given today by the adopted son Kurōdo that Nakano Tenzen, a retainer of the household gate, had died last night.
11th day, ji-si, clear. This was the western middle accounting assembly. Since I was to present the accounts, I arrived somewhat early for the presentation. The accounting and other matters proceeded as usual, with Keisen and Hissaken handling the calculations as requested. Afterward, it was reported that Shigetake was to be included among the ten rice-field appointees, but since the Kanshuji family was currently serving in the role of military court liaison, attendance was difficult, and therefore a written statement was submitted requesting withdrawal from receiving the stipend rice field. This matter was referred from the senior council to the three groups, as announced by the treasury magistrate. It was decided by discussion that regarding the participation of various ranks from the eastern group, a three-group assembly should be convened on another day for announcement, and a written statement should be prepared. However, this matter should originally have been submitted first to the three groups, but was submitted to the senior council and then referred by them to the three groups—the sequence was incorrect. Also, regarding the two sets of three cups, Mount Fuji paintings, and chrysanthemum paintings that were discussed at the gathering's opening on the 18th of last month, new ones were commissioned through Toyoaki's mediation and completed, to be used from today. Therefore, it was decided to send three shō of sake to Toyoaki as a courtesy.
13th day, xin-wei, clear. Light rain fell around the hour of the monkey. The fifth Kagura lecture meeting was held as usual at the Okudaya at Sanbongake. I departed before the hour of the snake and returned home at half past the hour of the cock. My father attended as substitute for Uncle. ○The New Year envoy from the household gate to the Kantō region, Senior Retainer Awa-no-kami, departed this dawn. Therefore, yesterday on the 12th, I sent two shō of sake as an accompanying gift.
15th day, gui-you, clear. This dawn, Horikawa Saemon-no-shī Hirofumi [went to] a Jōdo Shinshū temple in Nada Fukae Village in Settsu Province.
