八日乙卯雪所司代松平周防守殿退役老中席被仰出大坂城代
水野左近将監殿所司代御役被仰出之旨若役手触有之也
九日丙辰曇入夜雨降未刻入寒也〇志顕より年當月一日
三手参會之節已来三手日記方之内壱人ツヽ出席有之
候様評決云々當時日記方清弼経千志顕三人也
十一日戊午晴保子従父姉千代浦透引ニ而今日昼後藤波光
忠卿御妹秀姫殿留姫殿等二方當所御社参之後當家へ御入
兼而千代浦より依噂酒飯出之吸物壱肴六七種斗御膳一汁五菜
之為土産肴料金百疋饅頭百被送之戌前刻御帰也但秀姫
方来春正月中旬関東西丸へ為上臈御下向也云々

五日壬子晴れ 母堂は今朝除服である。○今日家内では例年の通り煤払いを終えた。
八日乙卯雪 所司代松平周防守殿が退役し、老中席に仰せ出された。大坂城代水野左近将監殿が所司代の御役に仰せ出された旨、若役から手触れがあった。
九日丙辰曇り 入夜雨降り、未の刻に入って寒くなった。○志顕より、年当月一日の三手参会の節以来、三手日記方の内一人ずつ出席するよう評決されたとのこと。当時日記方は清弼・経千・志顕の三人である。
十一日戊午晴れ 保子の従父姉千代浦の取り次ぎで、今日昼後に藤波光忠卿の御妹秀姫殿・留姫殿等二方が当所御社参の後、当家へお入りになった。兼ねてから千代浦より依頼があったので酒飯を出した。吸物一品、肴六七種ほど、御膳一汁五菜。土産として肴料金百疋、饅頭百個を送られた。戌の前刻にお帰りになった。ただし秀姫方は来春正月中旬に関東西丸へ上臈として御下向されるとのこと。
十八日乙丑雪 家父の当番について、逞清方へ代理を相頼んで遣わした。
二十一日戊辰雪 入夜、五頭人志顕の従父弟峯顕が卒去したため、志顕は解行した。残念なことである。
二十八日乙亥曇り 当季の払い高は六百六十一匁三分四厘一毛である。外に御座払い百匁余。

5th day, Mizunoe-Ne, clear weather. The honorable mother ended her mourning this morning. ○ Today the household completed the year-end soot cleaning as customary.
8th day, Kinoto-U, snow. Shoshidai Matsudaira Suō-no-kami retired from his position and was appointed to the Council of Elders. Mizuno Sakon-shōgen, the Osaka Castle keeper, was appointed to the role of Shoshidai, as communicated through official channels from the junior officials.
9th day, Hinoe-Tatsu, cloudy. Rain fell in the evening, and it became cold after the hour of the Sheep. ○ From Shiken: it was decided that since the three-group meeting on the 1st of this month, one person each from the three-group record keepers should attend. Currently the record keepers are three people: Seihitsu, Kyōsen, and Shiken.
11th day, Tsuchinoe-Uma, clear. Through the arrangement of Hōko's paternal aunt's elder sister Chiyoura, this afternoon Lord Fujinami Mitsutada's younger sisters, Lady Hidehime and Lady Tomehime, visited our local shrine and then entered our house. As previously requested by Chiyoura, we provided sake and food: one soup dish, about six or seven kinds of side dishes, and a formal meal of one soup and five vegetables. As gifts, they sent 100 hiki of money for side dishes and 100 steamed buns. They returned before the hour of the Dog. However, Lady Hidehime will go down to the Kantō Western Circle as a high-ranking lady-in-waiting in mid-January next spring.
18th day, Kinoto-Ushi, snow. For my father's duty shift, I requested Teiei to serve as substitute.
21st day, Tsuchinoe-Tatsu, snow. In the evening, the paternal younger brother Mineaki of the five-headman Shiken passed away, so Shiken went into mourning. How regrettable.
28th day, Kinoto-I, cloudy. This season's payment amount was 661 monme 3 bu 4 rin 1 mō. Additionally, there was over 100 monme for miscellaneous payments.
